Purely awesome selection. Ground floor has 30-ish taps, basement floor has the list of thousands of beers. Their menu is a damn phonebook. The place would also have had some American microbrew tasting on 2nd floor, but never got around to check that one. A must-see in Brussels.

A must see. A very crowded place. We went there at about 3pm and at 4-4.30 it was full. About the beers...well absolutely huge selection, serving is at the bar where if it’s crowded you get to spend quite some time. Music is a bit loud but it’s ok. As the night falls the place turns into a drunk party space but in a good sense. Lot’s of drunk people. good atmpsphere.

Visited October 2012 with chinoskillzian, womencantsail, and 77ships.
This is an interesting place for sure. Three floors, a different tap list on each one, a different décor on each one, and all completely packed (except maybe the upstairs bar). Eugene (77ships) wanted to be upstairs because they have the most imports (ie ticks for him, being a Belgian). The rest of us started on the ground floor and got to work. I chose wisely and ordered the Floris Cactus. Down in the basement was a scene resembling a concert. You have to push your way down the stairs into the general admission / mosh pit area and fight your way to the bar. Here I ordered a glass of the TIlquin faro which was excellent in my opinion. I tried to be slick about it and pronounced it the best I could but then the bartender told me the price in Dutch. I had to admit my American-ness and ask for an English number. Upstairs is some interesting décor with lots of signs from old non-existent breweries. Not sure if he could be considered part of the decoration but there was a guy that appeared to selling something wearing a clearly (well at least to those among us that are concerned with fashion, ie not me) bootlegged shirt that was missing some letters from the name. Good times and several ticks were had by all.

Nice place, mix between beer hall and pub. Live music on Thursdays. The bottle selection is huge but there’s few really unique gems in there. Staff is nice and knowledgeable. On a weekday at 10 PM, however, there’s simply too many in here. When we visited, Hoppy Loft was closed for a private event. What a shame.

A great place to try all the ones you’ve had trouble finding. Good tap selection as well. Many of the beers in their menu are not in stock, however. I found a few good ones, though. On the ground floor, they sometimes get amazing guest taps. The key is ordering the 2 Euro tasters. Great deal. Can get pretty shitty when it gets crowded with people drinking crappy beer, though.

Very touristy place, it is expected because of all the publicity the place has, mainly because is listed in the Guinness world records. That being said, the place is a must visit for the beer curious, the selection may be overwhelming but it is a fun experience. For the well versed in the subject, avoid the main floor as it is the most chaotic one, bottom floor has most of the bottle selections the place is famous for, the top floor is definitely the most "quiet" of the three, as well as the paradise for hop lovers. All in all a very interesting spot if you ever find yourself in Brussels, cheers!

A must for any beerlover, but unfortunatelly crowded most of the times by drunk tourists that don´t care about what they drink. The beer selection is impressive in bottle, but really pricey. Lot of taps with craft beers in the three floors. The hoppy loft may be the more calmy.

Beer selection is very impressive, but be sure to check the dates, since not all beers are sold fast enough. Air in the bar is a little moldy.
