The gem of all the Delirium bars, with lots more cooler bottles available. It can so get noisy here, as it did towards the end of our stop when a couple of big groups took over the place singing stupid beer songs. An absolute must if you go to Delirium Cafe.

The craft beer place in this delirium spo/building. Here in the loft you can find many craft beers from alla over the world but the rare ones mentioned on the menu are not available and the service is unaccetable the guy servin have no idea about what he is doing there and this his words. Whatever, nice ambiance with cozy oldschool decoration,if you have time take a look ;)

Visited late in the afternoon. Loud atmosphere, ok selection, ok staff. Not my kind of place.

The newish upstairs bar at Delirium is better lit, more open, less claustrophobic and less stinky than downstairs. Still you have to navigate the clog of sidewalk diners just to reach this overcrowded, expensive beer tourist trap. That said, the tap list was eclectic, including special taps from De Ranke and Blaugies, only both were in terrible shape. The bartender curled his face when we asked for a taste of something rather than buying an entire glass blind. I don’t see the appeal, but Delirium has always underdelivered IMO, and it no longer should be considered a premier beer destination. Your time in Brussels is better spent elsewhere.

A few beers on tap, a wide selection of beers, at least on catalog. The guy serving the beers has no idea of what he is doing there. No real knowledge of craft beer.

I would certianyl not call this the ultimate beer bar, but the difference with the downstairs drinking fest is so stark that we were delighted to sit down and sip some interesting beer. The tap lsit isn’t huge, but got a whole bunch of beers I’ve never had and even brewers I didn’t know. Expect quite some contract-brewed-in-Belgian stuff from elsewhere in Europe. The server was a bit more attentive than the downstairs rudeness, but very busy and seemingly confused. Prices were okay, for the taps. The bottle list is huge but I don’t bother with it as prices are high to very high and there’s enough stuff to try. The people seemed much more interested in beer here and in a way its a shame its on top of the Café madness, because by itself it actualy has a bunch of ingredients (albeit haphazerdly thrown together) that are quite fine.

Visited after borefts ’14. There was a board saying it’s quieter than below, but it was still quite noisy. Nicely decorated, much more space than below. I think 10 taps, most of the beers were available. Lots of choices on bottled beers, but difficult to find one that was available, especially since the bartender didn’t know what exactly was still available. He was apologetic about that but after asking for four-five different bottles and nothing was available while you hear the same excuses, it becomes tiring and annoying. I found some of the beers I wanted in the basement though. Prices were decent.

Not as loud as the basement but still quite noisy. They actually had the beers that we asked for here. If you are in the centre you could visit but I don’t think it’s worth a detour.

After wading through the hordes of drunken tourists and students filling the alley, I finally made it to Delirium’s famed Hoppy Loft. As in the other reviews here, this place stands in sharp contrast with the tumultuous cellar below. Brown café kind of atmosphere, nicely decorated with old beer paraphernalia. Service was a bit standoffish and it took some determination to persuade the guy behind the bar to go downstairs to get me a Sam Adams Triple Bock, which was on the list. Beer list was extensive and very interesting, though I failed to find some of my favorite American micro breweries on it. Still, a pleasant experience, relatively quiet and therefore a lot better suited for rating beers than the infamous Delirium Café.

I like the Hoppy Loft, quieter than the rest of the Cafe, which is sometimes welcome, with a pretty good selection available.
