Dempsey’s is a pretty solid bar. I’ve been here a few times for bottle promotions and each time I’ve had a blast. Selection is very good, and even great depending on the occasion. They usually have several Belgians on tap, as well as more in bottles. Will also usually have numerous American craft brews, again both on tap and bottled. On my last visit I had La Rulles Tripel, Synebrychoff Porter and Porterhouse Oyster Stout. The Miller Lite girls were also present and I drank one of their beers ironically. They also gave me a hat, which I will never wear, and not because I don’t enjoy or support Miller Lite, which I don’t necessarily, but rather because I don’t wear hats. The food is decent. The prices are average, but during the promos ver good. The ambience is a mixed bag. Outside seating area is nice, right on the sidewalk. There are lots of TVs, making Dempsey’s a popular spot to watch sporting events. I think they also have a pool table. Overall a very good spot to grab a beer, watch a game, bring a group - whatever. I’ll revisit.
