Great food. Some interesting beers, but nothing to put it on the map.

Rather eclectic, but sparse, interior. Staff screwed up my beer order, but did a very quick fix when told. Menu is not huge but they have specials. Mine was good. There’s not a lot of beer in this town, and much of it is typical craft. But this place is a don’t miss, if you’re staying in the area.

Dempseys in Petaluma has kind of become my local watering hole (as its only 2 blocks from my house). They have some of the best pub food ive ever had, including the best fried onion strings ever, (and the best burger around when it comes cooked as requested). They have a solid selection of brews and a great bar menu including house made olives, their own chili spiced pretzels and $2 bar tacos (authentic mexican style tacos too, not Tacobell style tacos). The downside is its got a warehousey kind of feeling and not a cozy pub feel but its definitely worth a stop if your in the area

Simple looking brewpub in a non-descript neighboorhood, in a strip mall. Nice and homey decoration, with warm colours, but rather silent staff. The beers are honest, but lacklustre. 6 taps available, 75 cents a sample. Visited August 16 2009.

The brewery is not all that remarkable at the rear of a dull mall, but takes advantage of its terrace by the river walk and from then, the experience becomes interesting. It’s a fancier than average brewpub that pretty much fits the touristy, relaxed wine country atmosphere. While the selection was not very large, the beers had the merit of not being all that predictable with the strong ale reaching... Californian hop levels. Still, it’s not a place I’d spend an evening in, but since it’s pretty much on the way between SF and Russian River...

Bright upscale pub. The service was better than expected as I stand out like a t#$d in a punch bowl at upscale places. Service was better than a lot of lower scale places I’ve been. The beer selection was average with 6 beers all well made but boring the exception being the 2004 vintage Barleywine. Did’nt eat as the food sounded to foofoo for my tastes.

Visited on a Wednesday afternoon in January, 2007. Located in the back of a stripmall, very cozy atmosphere, dark colors and lots of iron sculptures. Beer was about average, Red Rooster was probably the highlight, food was pricey but pretty good.

This place is pretty nice, great food. Beer selection is ok, worth trying, but not visiting a lot.

Nice place on the Petaluma river walk. I found the prices very reasonable considering the area. The food was ok but the lcoal standard is high. Service was great. This is nor a beer drinker’s paradise but the brew-by-numbers brewpub offerings are well done though unexciting.

Stumbled into this place while on vacation. Pretty nice place. They accepted the whole family, even my crazy kids so that was nice. The food was really good, but on the expensive side. Not a lot to choose from, wish I had had more time to sample more of the beer.
