Very nice, well done interior. The seasonal beer list had several specialty items brewed on the premises. Our wait"person" was very friendly and quite willing to elaborate with our touristy/ber geek questions. Late night snacks were all we had but the food was good. I even enjoyed the Black Butte Porter Creme’ Broulee’

Good place to start beer trekking in Bend, decent food and a wide range of Deschutes brews. Some exclusive.

This has the best variety of pub draft exclusives I have seen so far, not the best beers I have had, but still solid. The food was amazing, the staff were very nice and courteous. My biggest complaint was the wait to get a table, over an hour, but there is a bar while you wait, so not that big of a complaint. One of the best experiences at a brewery so far.

Great location within walking distance to many other beer destinations like Bend Brewing, Silver Moon, Brother Jons, and Crow’s Feet Commons. Sort of an Irish pub feel inside blended with an Applebee’s. Low lighting. Larger tap list consisting only of house beers. Half of the list is their easy to find bottled offerings, the other half are brewpub exclusives. Quality was average. Some hits and some misses. Make sure to take a picture of the taplist if you’re a ticker because no one in Bend is adding new beers from these brewers so you’ll be doing the legwork. Bartender was very nice- allowed us to get as many samplers as we wanted and didn’t charge us for some pints. Chill atmosphere. Crowded almost every evening so is a fun stop. Didn’t try the food, but I imagine it is good but not mind blowing.

Wonderful food and great beer. I go there for the beer, my wife for the carnivore cake (bacon, pretzel, stout, chocolate cake). HaHa. Overall, this is an absolute great place to grab some food and some "brewery only" beers. I do wish that they had more of a top shelf selection of reserve line brews, instead of the regular shelf beers. Usually have a few cask aged ales available as well. Service is good and they actually have some vegetarian selections besides green salad which is really nice for a brewery. A definite "must-stop" when visiting Bend.

Way Way Way better places to go in Bend than here. The tap list is occupied by most of their run of the mill swill for mass consumption. The food isn’t that great. I was disappointed.

(Visited 05/2013 - Stop #2 on the Bend Ale Trail): Deschutes’ Bend location is on Bond Street in downtown bend. Street parking is available in the surrounding area.
The interior of the brick building opens to a restaurant seating area, and beyond that sits the bar on the right and more table seating. There is a similar look to the Portland location, dark with a lodge motif.
Deschutes has over 14 of their beers on tap. Several flagship brews plus some that are unique to this location like Sam Weiss and Saison de Perle. The beer are mostly all well-executed.
Service at the bar on a slow weekend afternoon was good. The bartender was familiar with their beers and made recommendations on other area beer spots.
I did not have any food on this visit.
All in all this is one of the must-stop beer places in Bend.
