A short walk from the Red Line Trax stop to Trolley Square. Kind of a neat/cute little shopping center, though unfortunately also had a bit of a ghost town feel in certain spots where there were a lot of empty storefronts.
The brewpub is a bit hard to find, but itís there. You go upstairs into the bar and dining room area. I was sort of confused because they sort of seemed to also share a space with another business, but I donít know if thatís actually the case...
Anyway, sat at the bar and tried all their drafts. Beer quality was on the lower end, but some okay offerings.
The service was at least friendly and quick, but the place was sort of vacant and dead...I guess thatís what happens when youíre at a brewpub at 3pm on a Thursday.
Alright stop, but wouldnít go out of my way to come here. But, there is a cool little garden/park just down the street called Gilgal Sculpture Garden that features a lot of interesting statues and sculptures. Theyíre all Mormon themed and thereís a strong religious tone to all the art, but itís interesting...and you can see a depiction of a sphinx with the head of Joseph Smith. Thanks to Bonnie for the heads up on that.
Good food, tasty beers, and the worst service I have ever received. This is the second time with a small group where we where constantly being brought the wrong food and beer. Then when you go to pay they cannot split bill while ordering so you tell them what you ordered and they will mark it off as payed. This fails every time because somehow there will always be several items that are not accounted for and you will have to pay for them. DO NOT GO HERE WITH A GROUP.
Great location in Trolley Square. The place was not busy on an early weekday afternoon. Service was very fast and friendly. Beers were good, food was great. Great prices on food and brews. Will visit again.
kinda cool upstairs local in an industrial building in a historic neighborhood. nine house beers available (one was a kristalweiss!!!! very cool).
great service even though the place was packed at lunch. didnít eat but the food looks and smells a lot better than typical fare... as does the entire menu
Great location. The historic Trolley Square is really cool. The actual pub seems a bit empty... not as in customers but as in ambiance. Nothing on the wall. The bar was empty of bottles or anything. I peered through the window at the brewery outside and it was filthy. Really old and dirty. Made me think twice about what the beers were like. <gulp> I did try a bunch of the beers and the only one I found drinkable was the Later Days Stout. The rest tasted a bit like soap. The food was typical pub fare. Your average soups and sandwiches. Nothing special. This place has a lot of potential.
Nice open atmosphere, good service. Iíve been in here several times during the week and it is always fairly empty, weekends maybe different. They have 8 beers on tap, one nitro and one cask. The food is decent, prices are on the high side for lunch.
