Fun to visit if in the Trolley Square area (grab a brew while the spouse is shopping). Beers are all 4.0 ABV. Service good and food decent, but better places are available.

Good food, tasty beers, and the worst service I have ever received. This is the second time with a small group where we where constantly being brought the wrong food and beer. Then when you go to pay they cannot split bill while ordering so you tell them what you ordered and they will mark it off as payed. This fails every time because somehow there will always be several items that are not accounted for and you will have to pay for them. DO NOT GO HERE WITH A GROUP.

Great location in Trolley Square. The place was not busy on an early weekday afternoon. Service was very fast and friendly. Beers were good, food was great. Great prices on food and brews. Will visit again.

Located in a cool building, really enjoyed the food (higher class than average brew pub) and one of the few places in Utah to get "real ale".

Great location. The historic Trolley Square is really cool. The actual pub seems a bit empty... not as in customers but as in ambiance. Nothing on the wall. The bar was empty of bottles or anything. I peered through the window at the brewery outside and it was filthy. Really old and dirty. Made me think twice about what the beers were like. <gulp> I did try a bunch of the beers and the only one I found drinkable was the Later Days Stout. The rest tasted a bit like soap. The food was typical pub fare. Your average soups and sandwiches. Nothing special. This place has a lot of potential.

Nice open atmosphere, good service. Iíve been in here several times during the week and it is always fairly empty, weekends maybe different. They have 8 beers on tap, one nitro and one cask. The food is decent, prices are on the high side for lunch.

I took the beer class there and had a good time, but honestly, the beer there tastes like all the rest of the beer in Utah -no better, no worse.. Canít put my finger on it, but there is a general, basic flavor to Utah beer.. kind of as if malt was being used to mask something, like say, the lack of alchohol? People talk about 3.2 ABV just being a number, but honestly most micros in utah are far below that figure as if they mistakenly go over 3.2, the fines levied will wipe them out.
That said, the food in the "beer school" was amazing. The guy who ran it was allready drunk when it started, (but whatever, we all were when the night ended), The amber were good, but the wheat beer tasted liked coors with hops. the stout was quite bitter, good if you are into that sort of thing.
Iíll stick to homebrewing and bottles, but if youíre ever out christmas shopping in the mall and want to lose the wife for a couple pints, this is the place to go.
