Kind of dark but liked the tap set up and all the candles. Had fries with awesome malt mayo rest of menu looked great. Great happy hour prices

Nice beer bar in south Philly. Solid beer selection with nice friendly staff. Outdoor seating when weather permits. Didnít try the food, but smelled good.

I stopped by on Sunday afternoon for a couple of quiet beers. There was a lively crowd here with a good local vibe. Interesting tap list and I was pleased to see at least six beers on tap that I didnít find elsewhere. Hearty pub grub available. Friendly and attentive staff. Music was 80ís cheesy :-/

Visited 04/03/15. Nice, airy bar in a good location in south Philly. I visited on a Friday evening and didnít find it busy. My party sat at the bar and received prompt, friendly service. The tap list was interesting, with plenty of stuff available that I didnít find anywhere else in Philly that weekend. 4 Hands mustíve recently had an event there, since a number of their limited offerings were on tap. Stuff like Grapefruit Sculpin was also offered alongside some locals from Yards etc. Set flights were available, as were small pours for tickers. Prices were OK. Overall, definitely worth checking out.

Second beer stop of the day. This was right after eating both Genoís and Patís side by side. So feeling greasy and fat I decided to try some local ticks at a new place. Turns out itís a pretty nice place. Sitting outside on the sidewalk (with an umbrella granted) seemed like a good idea at the time but then the clouds parted and the sun came beating down. Ugh. At least the beer was decent. Oh wait, no it wasnít. Actually it wasnít terrible but it was a let down. Iím referring to Perennialís La Boheme. Vinegary and oaky without much else besides a little fruit. Meh. The service was friendly. The building is nice inside though a bit confusing. Was this a house at one point?

If/when I get back to Philadelphia Iíll stop back in because Iíll most likely head over to Genoís.

Decent place in the south of Philly, though a little bit of a hike. Has lots of good local stuff on tap, though Iím not sure this was just because of Beer Week tap features. Taster flights are good deals, though they are usually set on themes for $10. You can also get half pints of some pours. Has a few patio seats outside good for summer.

Well worth the slight detour to come here. Glad we did it mid afternoon when it was not busy as I imagine it will pack out in the evening. Good service, excellent choice and quality. A bit young trendy vibe but I still recommend a visit.

Went here for brunch on a Sunday. The food was outstanding and the draft selection was pretty remarkable due to the barrel aged beer event the night before. The bottle selection was also pretty extensive but I was a little disappointed that they had none of the central waters brews as advertised. Other than that, the ambiance was great with jazz music playing and lots of trendy people coming and going. Itís a pretty superior bar.

Popped into the Devils Den on a summer í11 visit to Philly. Tap selection was reasonable and I sourced a couple of local (ish) craft brewers, Stoudts and Troegs amongst them. The Devils Den holds an impressive bottled list and one thing (being from the UK) I always compare is the cost of imported bottles from our shores. Brew Dog Hardcore IPA was available for $6, not a bad price in my opinion. My Philly based friends said the place was dead on the night we visited, the Phillies were on TV but apparently due to college having finished business was quiet, but this didnt detract from the atmosphere! Iíll definately seek out the Devils Den again on my next visit to Philly.

We decided to go to Devilís Den early this past weekend for brunch and to start our CBX journey. Very nice looking space, very little people around since we got there right at opening. Extra points to them for having the soccer game on, was afraid I would miss it. Quality was pretty high in my book. They didnít look like they skimp out on much. Service was really hit or miss. Our server took forever to get our beers and when they did arrive they were wrong and had to be chanced which meant another long wait, about twenty minutes in all. Once that was ironed out it did improve quite a bit but it was sill mediocre at best. Selection was pretty good. They were doing a gypsy brewer event so lots of Evil Twin, Stillwater and Perfect Crime. I went with the Lil Bí and it was pretty good. The prices on beer were fairly high, and the prices on some of the growlers were downright insane. I ordered the corn flake french toast and a side of pork sausage. It was really good and I could only finish three of the four pieces since they were so big. The rest of our party covered most of the rest of the menu and it all looked excellent. I got to try a small piece of the duck sausage and it was very good as well. Overall a pretty nice place to stop if your in the area, I will return in the future.
