I used to go here back when I did a summer archaeological field school at Highlands University. The staff were friendly and at the time I think they had an "Around the World in 40 Beers" deal. Drink 40 different brews earn a t-shirt. As a college guy into beer from Montreal I became determined to get one. I spent too much money but enjoyed tons of craft beers including some from Louisiana and other parts of the Southern US. Good times, worth checking out.

This is a really small store with wine, liquor, beer and cheese. The beer selection is not great, but you’re gonna find a handful of local/regional micros which is more than I can say for anywhere else I went in town. Prices are really good, as they seem to be all over the Las Vegas, Santa Fe area. This will provide some solid six packs of IPA or stout, but nothing rare or really exciting is here. I would like to add that I visited the bar here for the first time. The tap selection in this tiny dive bar is probably the best in Las Vegas. There were beers from Marble, La Cumbre, Santa Fe and Odell’s on. Not too shabby. Prices are dirt cheap. I was here in the afternoon, so it was quiet, but I can see how the atmosphere could shitty quickly. It would just take a handful of loud, aggressive drunks in this tiny space.

This rating is for the liquor store front end. There is also a bar/restaurant in the back. It looked like they had about 6 taps with a couple local NM craft brews available. The folks in the liquor store were helpful packing up some bombers of Marble Brewing’s stuff that I was dragging back to Denver. Worth a stop if you are passing through. Good selection of NM craft beer...lots of Santa Fe Brewing, Marble, etc. Also picked up some vintage Gruet NM blanc de blanc.
