Nice ambiance and good selection of very well made craft brews. The service could’ve been much better, but the beer is the reason I came in the first place. If you go to Montreal make sure to stop here.

Amazinlgy cozy, clean, classy and unpretentious corner bar. I had picturd a huge, fancy, adorned all brass and what-not brewpub, but this had a wonderful, intimate feel. Smaller selection, but still respectable, with some unique styles on. Didnt try the food. Taking a tour of the brewing facility, it is by far the most immaculate facility I have ever seen. Good prices, samplers available, friendly bar tenders. Can’t think of a bad thing to say about this place, except that it’s 6 hours away from me!

Truely the flagship brewpub here in Montreal, it sets the standard for quality, with an awesome lineup of rotating brews, some of them deserving world class status. It’s not perfect by any means, notably because of overcrowding with local hipsters, wait staff that can’t always handle the crowds, and cigarette smoke. It’s still very much worth it and is my usual Beer-geek hideout. Check out the pictures of breweries hung on the walls, the paintings on the ceiling, the brewing equipment through the glass windows and the bottles over the bar. The grub offered is alright, I usually go for the bagel and lox. Québec ciders and other local products are available.

The beers speak for themselves. This is a must-visit for the beer geek... Go early. They open at 3pm. It gets very smokey in the evenings. Service is friendly but generally too busy to chat. Ambiance is conducive to chatter and enjoyment. The bar itself is not extremely attractive but seems to exude a convivial atmosphere. The food is passable bar food. It’s not a place to have a meal, but if you want to soak up a bit of the alcohol it certainly does the trick. Worth visiting when in Montreal defintiely. Worth planning a trip to Montreal just to visit... maybe.

Pay a visit as early as you can if you just want to enjoy some fine beer without the distraction of crowds or smoke. Prices are reduced until 7:00, as well. The music was eclectic and somewhat loud when I visited one mid-week afternoon in the summer, but the brewpub was neither busy nor smoky, with a nice breeze coming in from outside and bright, sunny windows. The website (which offers a bit more information on the French side) maintains a current list of beers on tap, and two large boards announce the available beers in the brewpub itself. They were only offering around five beers when I visited, but these included the Déesse Nocturne and the stunning Péché Mortel. I can understand how someone could be disappointed if none of the best beers were available, but c’est la vie.

Went on a Saturday afternoon. Not too busy, but bustling place. Had about 8 or 9 beers on tap along with one on cask as well. Service was decent. Ambiance was nothing special. Bright place with plenty of windows and a nice music volume. Lots of chairs and tables and a small bar with a couple stools. Was not impressed with the menu or the food. Small menu and the &quo;Nachos&quo; are just Tostitos with some grated cheese thrown in a toaster oven for a couple minutes for the mere price of $7. Great beer, but would stay away from the food.

This is the best place I went to in Montreal. Lots of great beer at this brewpub, and overall just a fun and simple place to hang out. I recommend it to anyone visiting Montreal. Really high quality beers.

Wow. That pretty much sums up Dieu du Ciel. They brew so many beers and probably the best imperial stout that I have ever had. This is a must stop for anyone in Montreal.

This is simply the best brew-pub I have ever been to. The masterbrewer has no limits and will trey any style of beer. His range is so convoluted that you can order the likes of WELLCRAFTED berliner weiss, imperial stouts, strong belgians, incredibly delish wit (summer wits and yes.. winter wits too). The masterbrewer is brewing mad! And... still the best ESB I have ever had was their standard Voyages de brumes when it was on Cask. There is no limits to the kinds of surprises you can expect at this incredibly fantastic brewpub. If you only have time for one visit in Montreal this is your place. The other excellent brewpub is Amère à Boire.
