This is the mecca of brewpubs in Montreal and it didn’t disappoint. Even just 5-10 minutes after opening, there were already quite a few patrons and it became fairly crowded until 5:30pm when people started to leave. Typical Montreal brewpub set up- some outdoor seating which was completely full, and plenty of small tables packed together inside (at least there was a/c). The beer list is phenomenal- approximately 15 taps of various styles, including Aphrodesiaque, Peche Mortel, and several IPAs, lighter styles like Czech pilsener and Kellerbier, witbier, Berliner weisse, altbier, etc. It has always been my dream to have Aphrodesiac on tap, and it was as good as expected! All the beers were very good to excellent. Even the less popular styles were well done with some shining stars among them. Service was slow but typical for Montreal brewpubs. Overall, a great stop, obviously a must for any beer traveler.

Stopped through Montreal to check out this highly rated place, had a good time but came away slightly unimpressed compared to the hype. A bit out of the way, a treck to get to. 16 beers on draft, including peche, aprho, and a mango berliner were highlights. Offered 6oz pours and full glasses. Service was friendly. I’d heard the food was good, it was ok, suffering from a small kitchen directly behind the bar leading to warmed up sandwiches and pizza. The beers were great overall, no real duds, but the rarity was missing compared to what others had on their visits. I’d go again if in Montreal, but by no means a a must check out, or should you go out of the way to get to.

Friendly place filled mostly with locals (even though it’s the most famous brewpub in Canada). about 12-15 beers on tap, plus a guest beer and cider. Inexpensive samples available. Personally, I didn’t think it was necessary to have a lager, pilsner, and helles on tap - that was disappointing. Otherwise, though, a great place.

Let me see: the beer is legit, there’s tons on tap, they do samples and huge ass pours, and the value is great? Count me in!

Ambiance amicale. Un peu coincé. Belle sélection (quinzaine de produit + cask, bouteille spéciale, collaboration). Peu dispen-dieux! Bière phénoménale toujours en rotation. Menu bouffe restreint mais fais la job. Un incontournable à Montréal.

i’ve been going to this bar for about 15+ years. it’s always been a great experience! just the normal, regular offerings are great, but then there are always a couple of really interesting new things available. i’ve had countless wonderful beer surprises here (an amazing rootbeer beer, a strawberry berliner weisse). super friendly staff, wonderful neighborhood. one of my favorite bars in the world.

A neat brewpub. 16 taps with a variety of brews. Good food. Bad service. One of the waitresses seemed to be more interested in talking to her hobo friend then serving. A shame I couldn’t rate this place higher. The beer and food were great!

Went in here on our recent trip to Montreal. Phenomenal bar with a youngish crowd. Probably 18 beers or so on tap, including many that don’t see much distribution and a cask. Good was really fantastic and fresh, kept with the local vibe. All beers available in multiple sizes and costs are pretty standard. Will definitely be back.
