Stopped by recently on a trip up to the Milwaukee area for a wedding.
Looks like complete crap from the outside, but donít let that fool you. Go inside and look at the beers... donít let it fool you!
Nobody spoke to me once while I was in the store, but the checkout lady was nice enough, I suppose. Mainly the store is full of people ordering case after case of booze. The announcements over the sound system got old fast.
Awesome selection by any standards Iíve seen in Florida. Tons of Shelton Brothers stuff. Mikkeller, Fantome, and 3 Fonteinen are just sitting on the shelf, as well as a classic Wisconsin selection (everything under the sun). I was able to get Buffalo Trace BA Mikkeller Black, and many more.
Prices seemed fine for what they had.
Overall, if youíre at the airport and donít have much time, like I did, this is your stop. I ended up spending way more than I should have!

Comments: This is one of the best beers stores Iíve been to by shear diversity of selection. Hundreds of bottles from all over the world with hard to find beers from all over: Belgium, Denmark, UK, Serbia, Montenegro, Poland. Almost half and half foreign and domestic craft selection. Specialty one-offs from local brewers, a giant palette of New Glarus including all special releases, tons of glassware, sixers of Three Floyds. Really out of control little kid in the candy store type of euphoria.

Huge craft beer selection including tons of locals and others. More New Glarus than Iíve ever seen in one place. Prices seemed decent compared to some of the other places around. Definitely worth a stop.

Two thumbs up on this place...try to go any time Iím in Milwaukee. By far the best selection in the city, with great regional selections I canít find in Chicago (including New Glarus, South Shore, Sprecher, Lakefront) with fantastic prices on hard-to-find international selections from Mikkeller, De Struise, etc. The area ainít that bad, especially considering youíll need to drive to it. If youíre traveling to Milwaukee, and you want to go to a place like Miller Park, Iíd say stop here after the game as itís not too far away.

Not necessarily in the nicest parts of town, but by far the best selection and prices. Discount usually has just about everything that is distributed in Wisconsin.

My girlfriend and I visited Milwaukee for the weekend, and I chose Discount Liquor as the beer store stop. A wise choice. The selection is very, very impressive. Plenty of Wisconsin craft beers along with an amazing selection of domestic and imported beers. More Mikeller choices than Iíve seen anywhere, as an example. Alesmith as well, which I havenít seen yet in Chicago. Chatted for a bit with a guy (seemed like a manager or owner) stocking craft beer, and he really knew his stuff. Definitely worth seeking out.

Large store, beers everywhere with seemingly no method to the madness. First time I went I told the wife (who wanted Belgian Red only) that I would be a while and it was going to be expensive. 30 minutes later and a shopping cart and a half she came in looking for me. Nuff said.

Great selection, but prices could be better. The organization of their beers could be more intuitive also, but if youíre looking for the rare one, you wonít do better than Discount.

Fairly busy and sizeable store with a truly massive selection. Plenty of local WI beers to choose from as well as some bigger names (Bruery, Alesmith, 3 Floyds, etc.) along with plenty of European imports, particularly Belgians. An employee that seemed to know his stuff wandered by and asked if I needed help, which he provided readily. One has to wonder how long some of these bottles have been sitting around, though, and the vast majority of their stock is at room temperature. Prices seem to be around average, certainly not overly high. Very much recommended.
