Fun neighborhood bar with decent selection. The best stuff is in a fridge at the back, but staff seems to be clueless as to it’s pricing or even existence. Still, good stuff on tap + growlers, which is great.

Not sure how I forgot to rate this since I added this place to the list. Good standby. Food is better than typical bar food with a good diverse selection. Plenty of brews (although it could stand to turn over a bit more), but there are always a few new ones on tap. Staff is nice and the patrons friendly. I’m there at least every other week. If anything, their food is right up there with their beer offerings which is nice. Prices are decent for NYC, too.

Finally made it up here recently to check out a bunch of beers from Barrier brewing that were having their New York premiere. The place is exactly what you’d expect - old looking, kind of worn-in and no-bullshit. The bartender didn’t really know anything about the beer they had, but he was friendly and efficient. The clientele were almost entirely locals and were pretty friendly. Cheap pours during happy hour and even the regular prices were decent. No complaints here.

Went here as part of my brothers 21st birthday bar crawl (21 wings for free on your b-day) Service was nice but slllloooowww. Selection was pretty good, had a few anchor steams that tasted really fresh. Wings were decent, nothing to special. Ambiance is mostly mid to late 30’s working crowd.
