This place pretty much advertises that theyíre a dive bar. Thing is, there were a lot of people in there. Itís dark and the place was a little run down but Iím having a hard time calling something this popular a dive bar. They also have patio seating and a lot of beer neon signs up in the window. Or maybe they mean something else by the word Dive. Who knows? They have a good amount of beer choices at least and the server was nice enough to provide some free samples. Not sure if there was a gay pride parade near here recently but on the menu they had a beer called Chatham Pride Ale and it had a rainbow flag next to it. I tried that and the Chatham Spring Wit. Both were meh. There were also beers from Brooklyn and SInglecut along with a good amount of more regional breweries and some imports like Unibroue and Delirium. They have a cask too. All around not a bad place to try some new local stuff but there are plenty of other places in this city where you can get that too.

Fun neighborhood bar with decent selection. The best stuff is in a fridge at the back, but staff seems to be clueless as to itís pricing or even existence.
Still, good stuff on tap + growlers, which is great.

Not sure how I forgot to rate this since I added this place to the list. Good standby. Food is better than typical bar food with a good diverse selection. Plenty of brews (although it could stand to turn over a bit more), but there are always a few new ones on tap. Staff is nice and the patrons friendly. Iím there at least every other week. If anything, their food is right up there with their beer offerings which is nice. Prices are decent for NYC, too.

Finally made it up here recently to check out a bunch of beers from Barrier brewing that were having their New York premiere. The place is exactly what youíd expect - old looking, kind of worn-in and no-bullshit. The bartender didnít really know anything about the beer they had, but he was friendly and efficient. The clientele were almost entirely locals and were pretty friendly. Cheap pours during happy hour and even the regular prices were decent. No complaints here.

Went here as part of my brothers 21st birthday bar crawl (21 wings for free on your b-day) Service was nice but slllloooowww. Selection was pretty good, had a few anchor steams that tasted really fresh. Wings were decent, nothing to special. Ambiance is mostly mid to late 30ís working crowd.
