Visited: 2-18-14 Ambiance: Decent place, nice long bar that can hold 20+ patrons plus tables all around, brewiana all over the walls but a warm feeling place. Service: Bartender was decent, friendly, prompt and knowledgeable Selection: A wide selection of common DFH shelf beers plus 3 exclusive beers for the brewepub. Would like to see more in house stuff personally Food: Ordered the meatloaf sandwich which was covered in cheese and had a solid smokey nose and taste. Value: Three beers plus meatloaf sandwich came in under $30. Also, if you are an AHA member, you get 15% off your bill, a bonus. Overall, this was a return to my craft beer roots, where I started over a decade ago.

Well, I returned after 3 years. The place is just as nice as I remember, a bit quirky - certainly less packed during the off-season than during the regular season. Iíll start with the bad:

After becoming very familiar with all their regular and seasonal offerings as well as the DFH Alehouses in the DC area, this seems quite a bit less impressive. The beer selection is roughly equivalent to the other alehouses, and the food menu is a bit smaller here.

Why travel 3 hours (without traffic) to find that the *2 day old* menu they posted online is already almost totally out of date? That you only have two brewpub only offerings instead of the six listed (plus Pangaea, which is apparently now brewpub only) and you didnít even tap a new beer? Weak sauce. Everything else you can get year round or easily during the season it is released.

The highlight of our trip was not the beer but the various liquor offerings they distill. They were very good. The liquor sampler was tasty. The mixed drinks were tasty. Most of our table switched to liquor after the first round of 2-3 samplers.

Fine as a tourist trap or uninitiated, but thatís about it.

Original Review:
Iím used to not only "city prices" and the prices at the Dogfish Alehouses in Virginia, so nothing really was a shock to me when entering the establishment. Food menu a bit smaller than Iíd probably would have liked, but the food was quite good, so itís not really a huge problem. Place is busy as all get out. We were able to wrangle up a spot at the bar, and slowly fill the bar with our group as people got up to leave. We passed on both the outdoor seating and the indoor seating, which were an hour for each. When we returned the following day at around 12:30 (they opened at 12 on Sunday) to pick up some Spirits to take home with us, we overheard someone mention an hour long wait for a table.

stopped in for some sunday beers and food and football. nice relaxed atmosphere, cool servers, and good food. nothing that blows me away but very solid and worth a visit. wish they updated the website more though...they were out of the beer i came for which the website said was on tap. prices are very fair. id go back if in the area for sure.

Visited on a Monday evening. Standard DFH selection available at the other bars but with 3 extra unique beers to try. The food was fairly good and it felt more like a bar than the Fairfax location. They could really do with offering a wider selection of beers though from other breweries as well as their own (like Mikkeller & Brewdog bars)

Stopped in on a rainy Monday evening and it was surprisingly busy. Really appreciated the limited releases.

Visited on a Thursday night, just after the dinner time shitshow. The place was still packed, there was a very loud band playing inside but the patio was comfortable and enjoyable. I wasnít too impressed byt the food, and the beer selection downright sucked. For the number of beers these guys make, they could at least have something special on tap - 80% of their taps is readily available stuff in bottles, with only three "draft only" taps, two of which had kicked and were not replaced when I was there. Not impressed. Service was very friendly and the general ambiance was okay, but as a beer geek, I was bitterly disappointed. I put this place on my list of tourist traps.

Iím not sure how Iíve missed rating this place since Iíve been here countless times. Great brewpub/bar with lots of seating. Food is decent and staff are friendly. The beer features lots of eclectic DFH brews including one-offs and aged examples. The Black & Tan with 120 minute and aged WWS blew my mind. Prices lean towards the high side, but itís somewhat expected in this touristy area.

iíve been there more times than i can count, and itís always been a very good experience. the food is always good, and itís sometimes amazing. while some of the experimental beers can be dubious, thereís always a wide range of fantastic beers available.

Pleasant place with a nice atmosphere and good food. But I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the beer range. No specials and, in fact, nothing I hadnít tried before at all. As a visiting Brit I was a bit surprised that was the case. May have just been unlucky with timing. Still, nice to have been there and would probably take another look if passing, which, to be honest, isnít all that likely.

The brewpub is a smaller setting on the Main street of Rehoboth with visible wiring running through a haphazard looking inside of the building. The service was wonderful, no doubt trying to turn tables because of the smaller setting, the brew selection was excellent but the food was a bit below par. No doubt the name will keep folks coming back but after doing it once, that was enough for me.
