Shockingly bad music aside, the tavern served its purpose of supplying a big breakfast for the long day ahead of us. A small beer list with nothing of note to get giddy about but at least the likes of DC Brau are on draught so itís not all bad. This is a handy sport for itís earlier weekend hours and a comfortable place for a meal and drink.

Stopped in for breakfast with nate2g at the start of a beery daytrip through Purcelville and all the way to Lost River. Tons of parking out back. Interior is restaurant style with grandma music piped in. Friendly young punk rock servers, quick, attentive and efficient. We spied a rooftop bar that looked pretty cool. The meal was filling ad tasty. Beer list was just OK, pretty safe with maybe five or six regional offerings. Worth a stop if youíre nearby. Would score much higher with a better beer list, or if I came back and enjoyed the rooftop bar.

Long narrow bar, exposed brick behind, Federalist decor opposite. Pretty crowded and loud on a Friday night. Crowd tends towards 20-somethings. 15 taps and 25 cans/bottles favoring local and regional offerings. Pub grub. Outdoor patio and upstairs balcony look inviting when weather permits. Lots of tvís showing sports. Ok.
