Visited 31/3/2014. Well located bottle shop which had a decent range of Italian beers, and some well chosen international ones. Services was efficient and I would visit this place again.

Great beer store near the Termini railway station. Great selection, bot by numbers and quality, of italian microes, asweel as lost of good imports. Helpfull english speaking service. Possible to drink you beers at the shop. Prices is rather high on some of the beer. A must go if in Rome.

An higly over rated place in Via Cavour near Termini. The selection is quite good but the service could improve quite a bit, the guy in the shop could not make an effort to answer some simple questions and because of that i purchased much less then i intended, shame. The place was also much too warm, which i am not sure is good for the beer.

Good shop and easy to find (not far from Termini Train Station). Good selection, helpfull staff, and reasonable prices (for Italian standards). What else do you need for a beershop?

(Visited 11/2013): Domus Birrae is a bottle shop on Via Cavour in Rome. It can be accessed via the Metro just a few blocks from the Termini station.

The interior of the shop opens to the check out counter on the left side, and a room on the right side with coolers and shelves of beer. Yellow walls with breweriana on the walls. There is a barrel stationed in the center with bottles open for sampling. Another room is in the rear devoted to shelves around the perimeter full of beers broken out by region. It looked like there were a couple taps behind the counter as well but I didn’t inquire about them.

The bottle selection amounts in the hundreds, with a good representation of Italian beers from breweries like Extraomnes, Birra del Borgo, Toccalmatto, Stavio, Birrificio Montegioco and Birra Turan. Imports as well from the UK and from US breweries like Hoppin’ Frog, Crooked Stave and Lost Abbey.

We visited on both ends of our Mediterranean cruise, and service on each visit was good. The guy behind the counter gave food recommendations on beers to take home and was patient, speaking English to help us tourists out. They take credit cards as well, and I didn’t feel prices were outrageous.

Not sure about the food ratings on this place, as I saw no indication they have any kind of food.

Overall this place is a must-visit for bottles in Rome as far as my experience in the city. I would definitely stop in on future visits to the city.

My loved bottle shop in Rome. Huge selection of craft beers and really friendly service by guys that love beer. Some beers are a bit pricey but I think most of the things are pricey in Rome. Can’t wait to be there again...
