This is a large place on several levels, really more of a restaurant where the pizza is the thing. Brewery isnít really noticeable. Beers are just OK.

Awesome little taproom and eatery just around the corner from Full Sail (Double Mountain was actually started by some Full Sail folks). Food is pizzas and sandwiches, beer is 4-5 regulars with 2-3 specials, which range from the mildly interesting to the ridiculously delicious. Double Mountain is becoming one of the hot new breweries in Oregon, and in little time I expect them to be well known nationally in the beer scene. Some stellar experimental and blended beers being produced these days. The taproom is a popular place for weekend skiers and travelers, so even outside of lunch hours it may be difficult to find a spot to sit, but for sure you will drink some amazing beer on your visit.

Located in downtown Hood River, Double Mountain had not long expanded its premises on my visit at around 4.30pm on Friday 24/05/13.
The small front bar, the original facility, leads you to a much larger back room split across 2 levels with some outside patio seating. The brewing equipment is visible through a window,
8 beers available, 1 via cask dispense.
5 beer taster can be acquired and 5 or 6 bottles were available to go, but largely (if not all) their standard offerings that were already on tap.
Service was good here, the guy new his beers and was over to pick up another order before our glasses had run dry.
House beers were OK - no world beaters but decent enough.
Worth stopping by if in the area.

Start your day with driving 150 miles in a huge U-Haul filled your Mother-in-Laws belongings as she follows in her car. Where do you stop for lunch? But of course a brewery you have never been to before. Yes take her with you for the experience. Double Mountain brewery was the lucky winner and Hood River Oregon was the stop. I can say this for sure I did not make the maps nor the addresses for this town so finding this place was not super easy. We drove all over and then finally came across it with a bit of luck and help from 411. About one block from Full Sail the giant in the area. Can we say Double Mountain is putting it out there to compete with Full Sail. Another rustic look brew pub with great coloring inside. I am sure an old building that did something back in itís day. Lets say it made fuggle binders or something. They are fairly new in the brewing game so they had a limited availability of brews. The server also explained it was, ďSeasonĒ right now so it was a packed night every night with windsurfers. They drink everything the wind blows at them. Was able to try the 5 they had on tap and they where very nice. The food was also on a limited menu but what they had was very good. Pub fair the food hit the spot adding to my energy level for another 150 mile drive. Kids are Ok for the place and they have a kids menu. Hours are limited as of now for the weekdays so call ahead not to be disappointed and they are not open. I am pretty sure they are catering to the Windsurfers and when they blow in. Ha ha

Small tap room, very busy on a Saturday afternoon with the Hood River Hops Fests going on right around the corner. But the tap room is pretty standard - nothing fancy there. Were so lucky to get an unplanned tour of the brewery - kind of like walking around in a warehouse, but the beer are good. Had 5 different. If I come back to Hood River Iíll visit again.

Nice cool brewpub in downtown Hood River-lots of hippies, outdoors-y granola type folks here though if your into that kind of thing, your good. Beer is very solid, especially that kriek.....WOW. Gets very crowded on weekends and holidays. The best parking is across the street from Full SAil, then just walk around the block-cant miss it.

This was my second stop in Hood River after visiting pFriem. I enjoyed my time here very much. The beers were very good and I thought the food was amazing. The BLT with chedder, chipotle mayo on toasted sourdough white was "litterally" the best BLT Iíve has in my life...no kidding...Iíd come back just for that. "But" like I said...the beer was great...and the place was very enjoyable...great people too.

Small little pub about a block from Full Sail. It turns out this place is a bit bigger then I thought at first, there is a side dining room, but I wasnít sure if they were seating people there, I just took a spot at the bar. The menu was small, but the sandwich I had was pretty decent. The beers were good, they had 8 on tap. Overall a good place, friendly staff that will talk to you about beer and the local scene. The prices were very high though, I was charged $4.50 for a half pint, so my tab was $12.00 for a sandwich and half pint.
