A very decent brewery. Good food, great atmosphere. Nice set-up inside. Decent selection of brews, plus some others (water beers). Great place to go to for dinner and a beer, shoot some pool or watch some TV. Staff does know a few things about the beer that they brew.

Visited on a Sunday around noon. Street parking is available, but limited. Itís in downtown, so I would advise parking in a garage and walking. Knoxville is fairly navigable, so not a big deal to walk. The bar area is located right inside the door, and my wife and I were lucky enough to find seats, although they were the last two that were beside each other. The bartender at the time was very friendly and took my order quickly. They had 9 beers the day I visited, with none of them really being standout. Seems to be more of a tourist bar than a serious craft beer brewery. Prices were great. I did not order food, but the people beside me did, and what they ordered at least looked good. A local did recommend eating here, but at the time, we werenít hungry. Would probably skip if visiting town again, but am glad I did visit the one time.

Large characterful building. Square bar is up front, tables all around and on the second level. Pizza oven in back. You pass the mash tun (still warm to the touch) on the way to the restrooms. Service was friendly and attentive. Beers varied, but the stout was the stand-out. Apps were pretty standard but tasty. Worth a stop.

Kind of a "meh" place. Was recommended by a friend, so we decided to give it a shot. The beer was very bland, which we could have lived with, but the food was incredibly mediocre. Not OK. Youíre better off eating at the Tomato Head and then going to Suttreeís for beer.

Downtown Grill and Brewery located well downtown Knoxville was a pretty good place. The atmosphere was nice and the beers I had were pretty good. It reminded me of Big River but maybe a little less adventurous with tap rotation. Worth a visit if passing through town.

Service was unexceptional. Waitress didnít kno what the seasonal had been that they had run out of. Didnít inform me upfront that they were out of the seasonal. Ordered the White Mule Ale and they were out of that too - waitress didnít inform me until I orders it.
Beer selection - being out of a seasonal is disappointing but at the same time being out of one of only seven regular beers is pathetic.

I had a great experience here, the waiter didnít know as much about the beer as I hoped, but was nice and helped as much as he could. Food was amazing, we had pizza, the beer was solid, but nothing to brag about. Really fun place on a Sunday!

Sitting in downtown Knoxville with a great priced craft beer in a brewpub can only mean Downtown Grill & Brewery. There really is only one downside - the selection. The beers are solid and consistent, but rarely change. Everything else is top-notch. The brewers and staff are personable and have spent many a long conversation explaining their process or talking about yeast. Donít complain because itís crowded - itís crowded because itís good.
