One of the largest selections of tap beer from one brewery at one time anywhere. Somewhat hard to find but worth it. Lots of wood and funky decor items like medevil flags and swords. Great place.

Great spot. Looks like hell from the outside, but as soon as you’re in, it’s comfortable, well stocked, and easy to enjoy. The castle feel is, surprisingly, pretty well played.

Oops, drove right by the place )at night, not lit up) and took me about five minutes to turn around and get back thanks to the messed up grid of streets that is Detroit. Once I got in, I saw easily the largest selection of brews on tap from a brewpub. It was tough to pick just five for the sampler and the beers were decent in quality. It was hopping on a Friday night and a local performed tunes on the guitar while the game played overhead. The food offerings were minimal but filled the bill and tasted good. Free Pretzels with mustard too. Yay!

(Visited 05/2012): Dragonmead is located on the east side of Warren off 696 on 11 Mile Rd. There is a private lot in front of the building.

Inside there is table seating on the left and a bar that wraps around to the front windows on the right. The interior is dark wood and yellow with hanging lights. Lots of flags, coats of arms, swords on the walls and the like. They have a board behind the bar with tiles displaying what beers are available.

Dragonmead has a lot of beer on tap at any given time, with a couple dozen on our visit. They offer samplers to help you navigate through the extensive list. Some of the selections on our visit included Dragonslayer Alt, Earl Spit Stout, Juggernaut Double Red and Honey Porter. The beers are all decent for the most part but it appears they focus on quantity a little more than quantity.

Service at the bar on our visit was good. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable about all the beers.

We did not try any food on our visit.

All in all this is a fun spot to visit given the medieval atmosphere and variety of beers to try.

This place is tucked away along the highway among some industrial buildings. Inside is nice, but nothing noteworthy. The tap selection is top notch, with many styles and 5 beers on nitro. Didn’t have any food other than the pretzels they provide which was nice. The staff was nice and laid back. A decent place, but not my tops when it comes to a brewery experience.

A true tickers dream! A dungeony atmosphere. A mountain of taps behind the bar of all types of styles. They offer samplers. Value is good and staff is fine. A nice place to stop by especially for a few rates.

Loved it! Can’t wait to go back.

Great selection, staff friendly and knowledgeable. Beer ok to good. Well worth a stop in, very good place to drink with several good choices.

this place is a tickers dream come true, 30+ plus of their own drafts, all of which are basically any style you can think of, they do 5 6oz tasters, they come in a cool serving stand, you are given a card to fill out to list what you want... now the downside is that with so many different styles, there are tons of misses, most of the darker beers were not good at all, additionally service blows, they were out of several beers, anything nitro took an extra ten minutes per glass so there was tons of staggered deliveries to our table, and the servie was super super slow... worth a tick if you’re close

i love love this brewery. it makes me think that its exactly what an old english/irish corner pub would be like. not much on the food front but the 30 plus beers make up for it
