Drake's has a friendly staff and a pretty nice selection. I like that drake's caters to Michigan breweries and their pricing is reasonable. They don't have a ton of foreign beers, but I'm usually after the local stuff anyway. They also feature the RateBeer rating next to each beer.

Definitely caters to beer, which is great. Good selection, too. Tons of Michigan beers: Arcadia, New Holland, Founders, Dark Horse, Shorts, etc. Prices are a little high, but the mixed 6-pack 10% off deal helps take the sting out. Found a Stone Old Guardian for like $7.39, which was decent and I’ve been wanting another one, so that was cool. Lots of Brewery Vivant, too, which was good to see. The guy was really helpful, too, and knows his stuff, so that’s a plus. A good place to swing into in K-Zoo.

A bottle and liquor shop right by Western Michigan University that caters to the college crowd (as is evident by it’s ambiance), but has solid prices and a very good selection.

I came in here for the first time(6/8) since I recently moved to Kalamazoo, and boy am I excited to get to know this place. They have so many beers I don’t know if my liver is ready to try them all but I’m definitely going to give it a try! The two guys behind the counter were great, the one that came out and helped me certainly knew his stuff about beer, I was really shocked that they were so helpful with it being almost midnight when I was in there. I made my own six pack, and it was a little higher than I was expecting but that’s what you get when you buy good beers I guess. I’ll for sure be back in here and I’ll try every beer they have.

I was really impressed with how much this store has changed. I went to Western for my undergrad and it wasn’t anything like this. The staff is knowledgeable but not pedantic about it either. Very refreshing, I had been told by another store that they weren’t worthwhile to go to but WOW was that store WRONG! Great 6 pack selection with constant ratings, I always enjoy comparing my opinions with others on the beer and have had several good conversations with the staff here. A must go when you are in the Kalamazoo area

One of my go-to places. They constantly announce what new beers they have coming in, and while most of the time I have to rush to get there in order to get one, it kinda adds to the excitement of it all. Plus most of the workers tend to actually know something about beer, not too bad for being just college kids. I can’t remember ever being interested in microbrews while in college, Impressive. The music kinda distracts sometimes, I don’t really feel like walking through a store that sounds like it is having a rave.......

Staff was great no issues there. Selection is very nice. Overpriced on everything by $2-5 from any other store. I have also noticed that when popular beers come in the shop in short supply they save them for their buddys via their facebook/twitter homepage. Why advertise you have them if they never make it to the shelf? Overall not bad but there are better stores in Kalamazoo.

One of the better selections of beers in the Kalamazoo area. Lots of single bottles, walk in cooler, and lots of 6 packs. Worth the trip if looking for new brews.

Another decent bottle shop in the Grand Rapids area. A little spendier than others. Be careful, – I was charged the six pack price for a single bottle but it was refunded to me right away. The selection isn’t bad and the service isn’t bad too.

This is my "go to" store for beer. Unfortunately, they suffer from being primarily a college town party store. For being mostly college kids, the staff is actually relatively knowledgeable. Their beer selection is pretty good. They have a lot of stuff, but I really think they could have a lot more if half the store wasn’t taken up by the kegs and disc golf stuff. And cut ties to breweries and focus on individual beers. 20 beers from 1 brewery but onlly 1 beer from another? But all in all it really is a good store. What they lack in quantity, they make up for in quality. And even though they’re a bit pricey on some things, they’re still cheaper on some of the better things than other area stores.
