Hundreds of Belgian beers are spread over the many aisles at very reasonable prices, either by the case or single. Many accessories are also available. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, being involves

You can get a lot for your money but it has to be cash as they don’t take foreign credit cards.
When we visit Belgium by car we usually call in to stock up before heading down to the Eurotunnel terminal in Calais. The last time we were there we’d heard there was a bank holiday on the Monday (the day of our planned visit) so I contacted Dranken Geers to ask if they’d be open. They said they wouldn’t but they’d be working in the morning to supply some pubs so if we rang when we arrived they’d be happy to open just for us. What service – absolutely fantastic!

| 90 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 Theydon_Bois (372) The ’Sham, England | April 12, 2013 Visited on Saturday morning 23/03/13. Located just off the Gent ring road ’Geers was easy to reach by car and we had driven from DHVL in around 45 minutes.
Large warehouse type of affair stocked with a huge range of beers and other alcohol products. You can easily spend an hour browsing as we did.
The range is predominantly Belgian as you’d expect but there were also a good spattering of Mikkeller beers, US stuff from the likes of Great Divide and Jester King and plenty of Brewdog and other UK beers such as Thornbridge.
Service was good, 2 people on the tills, didn’t have to wait long. You can purchase an empty crate (of 24) to take your beers away in for E2 which is a refundable deposit should you wish to return it.
There are also toilets available and one of the workers was happy to give me the Wi-Fi code. On this day all purchases came with a free can of Maes Radler ! A rates a rate !
A great beer store and well worth making the effort for be you in the area or not - this warrants a 1 hour diversion for definate! | 92 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 18/20 Fin (368) Merton, Oxfordshire, England, England | November 15, 2011 We tend to visit here 3 times a year I would guess our most recent visit being Sat 12th November 2011. Stunning range of beers at superb prices. Along with some of the best that Belgium has to offer there is also 30+ Mikkeller with the whole of the recent Hop series, 3-4 Stone beers and usually some good Dutch and German beers as well. I rarely get out of here without spending at least €150+. The staff are very helpful, btw whilst you cannot use Mastercard or Amex you can use Visa admittedly that will be debit rather than credit but at least you don’t have to fumble about for cash. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 16/20 GT2 (345) Riverslime, California | March 26, 2010 Pretty solid beer store full of Cantillon, 3F, De Dolle, Struise, Mikkeller, old vintages of Gouden Carolus. Very good value. 3F Geuze Vintage for 4 euros!! Some interesting rarities. Large selection and you get to sort of troll around the store with an industrial size hand cart. Pretty awesome. Definitely worth stopping by! | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 bierkoning (229) La Tropica, Netherlands | August 25, 2008 Excellent beer shop! Well assorted and some surprises, and the prices were quite OK. The shopkeeper was busy, but I found my own way and paying went quick enough. I’ll be back! | 88 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 18/20 sebletitje (228) Enghien, Belgium | June 15, 2012| Updated September 21, 2012 If I had to name my top three best beer stores in Belgium, Dranken Geers would be in that list.
Easy to find, a little outside of Gent. Warehouse style of store with a wide choice of Belgian beers (maybe a tad under what Willems offers) and a great variety of foreign beers, especially from Mikkeller and a good choice of Italians as well plus some Brewdog and British beers. US beers are limited and on that note, I believe HopDuvel does better.
Service was great, some beers were not on shelves and they went in their stock to get me new ones. Not much in terms of atmosphere, typical store. | 86 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 Tim Webb (173) Cambridge, England | August 8, 2009| Updated September 21, 2012 Excellent beer warehouse and shop just off the Ghent ring road. One of the finest in Belgium. |
