Visited October 2012.
Due to a hectic schedule this wasn’t initially on the map of places to hit but Ignace (bobochamp) contacted me for a trade. I’m glad we stopped for several reasons. Ghent is a nice city, even if half of it was under construction while we were there. Ignace hooked us up and let me buy some neat stuff like Armand and Tomme and some Fou Foune. The trade was a Fantome Clos Preal.
The hookup aside they have a lot of cool stuff. Crates of lambic, crates of Rochefort and St Bernardus, and tons of singles of imports like Mikkeller. They also have a nice glass selection. Prices were pretty good over all. Would definitely stop in again next time in Belgium.

Enormous store with a huge selection of Belgian beers and imports. Lots of Scandinavian and American stuff. Prices are pretty decent for the most part. Service was fantastic. Definitely recommend this store.

Extensive beer selection with too many to mention. Huge amount of Belgian beers obviously, but an impressive range of 75cl’s. Also the international beers are well represented with many from the States and Scandinavia. The prices were really attractive for the local stuff. Excellent beer warehouse.

Warehouse full of crates of Belgian beers, with a propensity for Flemish breweries. Feels like a backstore/unloading zone of a factory. Prices are quite decent, selection very interesting (you’re in Belgium anyway!), a few interesting finds were there (Drie Fonteinen Schaarbeekse Kriek in spring 2004). Good place for Gent center, but I hear Dranken Geers on the outskirts of town is way better. Next time I’ll try it out.

A reasonable sized beer warehouse, for those English raters out there who’ve been to Beers of Europe this is probably a similar size but narrower. Good selection, I picked up a few rarities 3 Fonteinen Schaerbeekse Kriek for 10 Euros a 750ml bottle seemed reasonable value to me, plus a number of the t Smisje beers that seem quite difficult to get at about 1.84 Euro’s for 33cl bottles. Quite well laid out, very friendly and helpful staff, good choice and prices on Blegian glassware.

Halfway between a beer warehouse and a beer store. Huge. Display is a mess, you’ll find the same beer at different places. Some beers are in plastic cases and not on display. Very large selection but no rarities and no obscure micros. I don’t remember them having any non-belgian beers but I may be wrong. No service to speak of, this is Belgian Beer Depot. Prices are amazing and that raises the Overall score to me. The following is not a figure of speech, it is a fact based on many beer comparisons: Everything there is ½ price or less than what you’ll pay at a Brussels store (i.e. Beer Mania). Not a place to buy special beers to bring back home. This is where you go to pack your hotel fridge. A Girardin Black Label 375ml for 1.45 Euro is pretty hard to resist.

Big shop and warehouse in Ghent, lots of choice, Belgians, USA and Danish beers picked up. Easy parking outside and a good relaxed atmosphere in. Can be pricey if you are not careful. I will return one day.

Driving from Antwerp to Gent I stopped by this gem to check out the selections. A tad difficult to get to but there is PARKING around back so just drive on through the little gate. A huge beer store going back about 50 yards, the biggest beer store I’ve seen. As your walk there is wine to the left, beer gift packages, and an awesome selection of glassware that is well worth checking out, found a rare Westmalle and Cantillon glass there. The majority of the store is Belgians staples, they are laid in crates across the middle and back wall of the store. They do have a very nice selection of rarer De Struise.
What sets this place apart is an amazing selection of rare De Molen one offs in 18cl bottles and a ton of Mikkeller (Ba Texas Ranger and other rarities).
If you are in Belgium and tired of seeing the same old Belgian beers check this place out for some great and rare Denmark brews.
Highly recommend, a destination stop if your within an hour by car.

Large selection of beers from all over. Quality products. A tad more expensive Than most off town shops. The most expensive hommage I saw in Belgium for instance. You Can also purchase rare Stuff here but again as in the case With Hommage - Pricey. 85 euro’s for a bottle of chocolate rain and even more for Lost abbey sinners. But an impressive selection for sure.
