Fairly big place in central Gent with not just a great Belgian selection but interesting international beers as well. Thereís always something interesting to find even for the most hardened beer nerd! Prices are very fair, even for the epic rare American beers when you factor everything in. A great shop that Iíll go out of my way to visit if Iím in Belgium.

Visited on a Saturday evening. Very attractive venue, nice looking shop with parking which is convenient when you have the intention of really stocking up. Selection includes most of the classic Belgians with some nice bottles, they donít seem to aim for the totality of Belgian beers like other shops do. Instead, they have a whole row of either imported stuff, or highly in demand craft beers from around the world, definitely the best stocked foreign section Iíve ever seen in Belgium. Anything from japanese lambics to Chocolate Rain or Mikkellerís latest barrel-aging madness. All of it very reasonably priced, especially considering where some of this stuff came from. I got a bottle of George calvados for 50% of the NL price. Very nice place, will come back.

Large selection of beers from all over. Quality products. A tad more expensive Than most off town shops. The most expensive hommage I saw in Belgium for instance. You Can also purchase rare Stuff here but again as in the case With Hommage - Pricey. 85 euroís for a bottle of chocolate rain and even more for Lost abbey sinners. But an impressive selection for sure.

Big belgian choice, but a bit pricey for me. The interest of the Hopduvel goes to their non-belgian choice...hudge!!!the only place in belgium where you can get a three floyd dark lord.. To sum up, thereís two big beer shops in Ghent, Dranken Geers and the Hopduvel.. Dranken Geers has a little bit cheaper choice for Belgian beers,Hopduvel is better if you want Non Belgian beers..great american, dutch and north european choice.. And the owner seems to be a real passionate guy!!!!

Just got home from my visit in Ghent, in which of course i inspected the famous "Hopduvel". It was worth spending time there. Lots and lots of different beers, including many common, but great belgium beers like Dulle Teve, and many trappistes. But they also have many beers for beergeeks available, beginning with a geat variety of De Molen, Mikkeler, Nogne O, Amager, of seasonal belgiums and imported UK and US beers - pretty much all you could ever ask for. Service is very helpful and friendly, and on saturday they are having beer-tastings of new arrivals. In addition to that, prices are very fair, of course, when you are interested in special american releases the bottle can be up to 12Ä, but all the belgium beers they offer are really affordable. They also sell more or less all belgium beer glasses, and if that still isnít eneough, they also got the regional licour speciality in many different variations.

Good shop with a nice selection of beer. Unsurprisingly mostly Belgian beers. Takes a while to walk around to see what they have, but definitely worth it.

Visited October 2012.

Due to a hectic schedule this wasnít initially on the map of places to hit but Ignace (bobochamp) contacted me for a trade. Iím glad we stopped for several reasons. Ghent is a nice city, even if half of it was under construction while we were there. Ignace hooked us up and let me buy some neat stuff like Armand and Tomme and some Fou Foune. The trade was a Fantome Clos Preal.

The hookup aside they have a lot of cool stuff. Crates of lambic, crates of Rochefort and St Bernardus, and tons of singles of imports like Mikkeller. They also have a nice glass selection. Prices were pretty good over all. Would definitely stop in again next time in Belgium.
