Good shop with a nice selection of beer. Unsurprisingly mostly Belgian beers. Takes a while to walk around to see what they have, but definitely worth it.

Visited October 2012.
Due to a hectic schedule this wasnít initially on the map of places to hit but Ignace (bobochamp) contacted me for a trade. Iím glad we stopped for several reasons. Ghent is a nice city, even if half of it was under construction while we were there. Ignace hooked us up and let me buy some neat stuff like Armand and Tomme and some Fou Foune. The trade was a Fantome Clos Preal.
The hookup aside they have a lot of cool stuff. Crates of lambic, crates of Rochefort and St Bernardus, and tons of singles of imports like Mikkeller. They also have a nice glass selection. Prices were pretty good over all. Would definitely stop in again next time in Belgium.

Good shop with a very nice selection of beers. Good knowledge of the beers and always prepared to help you find something. They tie with Geers for best beershop in/around Gent and the whole of Belgium for that matter.
MESSAGE FOR FOREIGNERS VISITING GENT: if you read this, youíre probably planning a visit to Belgium, and Gent in particular. Iím always interested to get to know other ratebeerians, and if you come from an interesting country, we can maybe to an in person beer trade? Contact me!

Amazing bottle shop with nearly every Belgian beer imaginable available, even some rare stuff like Pannepot Reserva and Cuvee Delphine. Decent selection of US, UK, Dutch, and Scandinavian beers too. Friendly, knowledgable service and very reasonable prices. The only negative comment I have is that the rickety cobblestone entrance was a nightmare to traverse with my suitcase filled with 40-odd bottles!

Incredible place. I drove past it like two times. I liked the ambiance. A beter selection then Geers. Oh my, why dont I live in Gent?
There was also a brewery who gave us a free taster of his beers. The prices are ok. A bit higher then Geers but still very good prices.

Great and pretty large bottleshop tucked away in a cellar (which was one of the coolest places in Gent on the sweltering hot day we went there) in semi-central Gent. Great selection with mostly belgian stuff but also some imports. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

This is the place to shop for beer. Having Geers on one side and Hopduvel on the other. Two great shops in such a small city. The selection is very nice and the prices are seriously cheap to reasonable.
The obscurity of their selection reminded me a bit of the old Mitra Van Bergen...
Service is super friendly, mailed BoBoChamp if they could set aside some bottles: no problem. Itís like a big drink market with a good Belgian and foreign side on the wall on the left and a lot of crates throughout to the back. In the front some wines, gifts and magnum bottles. Wishing with such a cheap selection itíll be good here as it once was! Anyways!
Great selection and prices, friendly service and could even taste some special stuff from Struise. Thanks people at Hopduvel!

Neat and spacious shops, amazing selection! Mainly Belgian beers, but this is one of the few places to find some good American craft beers as well. Is also a retailer for home brewing equipment. Whenever you are in the vicinity of Ghent, any beer geek should visit this place, period!
