This Drink of the world is nice. There is almost the same choice than Geneva but you can find the unser bier bottles. When I went there, the shop was not so busy than Zurich and the service is ok.

An excellent beer shop in Basel & one I’m glad to have found (although being in the train station makes it hard to miss). They had a huge selection of beers with plenty of Swiss, Belgian & German bottles plus a decent selection from the UK (mainly Brewdog & a couple larger English breweries though). I was in for Swiss beers & the selection was ridiculously good when compared to the limited offerings at most bars in the city. I managed to pick up 8 of the 12 I went to Switzerland looking for (a ninth was available but too pricey). The shop also had beers from a few unusual locations; most notably Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil (not just Brahma & Xingu) & some from Estonia, Finland, Canada and quite a few others. The American selection was also good with from Dogfish Head beers I was happy to see & some from the odd unusual state (for Europe) like Tennessee. Price wise it was Switzerland & I’m not sure how it compares to other beer shops in the city/country but it was pricy with most Swiss beers between 3 & 6 francs a small bottle but that was still cheaper than the bars in the city and I knew it’d would be an expensive place to visit anyway. Overall it’s up there and quite possibly the best beer shop I’ve been to (although that might be down to the fact it was in a foreign country so most beers were new to me & because they had some DFH which is impossible to find in Scotland).

Very similar, albeit smaller, to the Zurich shop. Lots of beers from all over the world and a great selection of Swiss craft beers. I would guess they have at least 500 different bottles - not 200.

Medium sized store, but the beer segment is rather small, since there is a wine segment as well. The service is okay. The beer selection is not too big, and it gets either boring or expensive if you want to try different beers. Still one of the best opportunity to get a nice beer if you’re stuck in Basel waiting for a train.

Bottleshop in the SBB station with a selection from around the world. A lot of mainstream beers, but also a lot of interesting craft brews if you search long enough in the shop. Also a nice selection of Swiss beers. However, the prices are a bit extreme...

Centrally located in the train station. Very similar selection to the ones in Bern and Zurich, but of course more local Basel beers. Planned ahead by checking out the online beer list - got 12 out of the 12 I wanted to buy.

A busy store at the railway station loaded with a good selection of Swiss beer (inc. local stuff such as Ueli and Unser Bier) and bottles from all over: mainly English/Scottish, German and American craft. Plenty of macros and a bunch of imports from more exotic countries that’s good for ticking.

Doesn’t look like much from the outside - pretty small and in the main train station but surprising on the inside. Nice selection of Swiss beers and a nice selection of international beers (primarily English/Scottish) but quite a few other countries represented. Parking garage a block to the west on same street. One of the best places to find a lot of Swiss beers in one stop or a quick jump across the border from Germany for a decent selection of non-Germanic beers.
