86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 HenrikK (16) , Denmark | April 18, 2013 Louise does it all: pub, restaurant, disco. You could spend an entire day here. Look out for events involving special brews from Fanø Bryghus. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 princesslala (16) , Denmark | July 21, 2010 This is definitely the best beer bar in Esbjerg. The selection is not spectacular, but they always have some interesting things tap, and it’s definitely better than anywhere else you can find around town. Also the food is excellent, so if you view it as a gastropub, then you won’t be disappointed.
| 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 Bragesnak (80) Aarhus, Denmark | March 25, 2008 Very good beer knowledge.
Large place - best with outdoor serving in the summer | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 fobar (11) Søgne, Norway | September 18, 2009 Very good food and friendly staff. Good selection in local beers as well as standard commercial lager/pilsner. Nice atmosphere. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 Maria (18) Thisted, Denmark | January 19, 2007 This place is among the locals called "Dronningen" (the queen), and it has a very nice atmosphere like a real English pub, and their selection of beers both in bottles and on tap is varied and the have a ever changing beer-of-the-week from tap. The service is friendly and I liked it a lot. I had no food there, but I’m told it’s good. | 72 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 Fin (377) Merton, Oxfordshire, England, England | November 24, 2009 Visited here both in September 09 and then last month on 22-10-09 and 23-10-09 when at Esbjerg Danish Regional Beer Festival. I really like this place, it has a decent beer list, not stunning by any stretch of the imagination but it is decent enough especially for a non-local like me. The food is quite excellent, nothing fancy but the burgers are homemade and go on an empty stomach as they are just huge. Often a good place to get one of the local Esbjerg beers. Very nice surroundings and well situated, a really pleasant place. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 chriso (306) London, England | May 21, 2008| Updated May 30, 2008 Excellent spot right on the main square. Lots of seats outside if you feel like watching the world go by. Quite pubby feel inside. Sat at the bar on a quiet Monday afternoon. Barman friendly and knowledgable. I counted 19 taps, of which about half were Danish microbrews. I got an Esbjerg MIcrobryg beer, which was what I was mainly after but there were also another three new beers for me. Didn’t look at the bottle selection or eat - there is a separate restaurant off to the side, don’t know whether they do food in the bar part. I imagine this place would get a lot more lively in the evening (there seems to be some sort of nightclub downstairs). Highly recommended for your first Danish beer or two if you are coming off the ferry. Or at any time for that matter. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 Stefano (10) Esbjerg, Denmark | March 9, 2007| Updated June 24, 2008 Fantastic place to enjoy your favorite beer. Large selection and the bartenders a very competent. | 68 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 13/20 Rasmus40 (144) Beder, Aarhus, Denmark | March 5, 2012| Updated June 24, 2008 Located at the town square. I love the interior with the classical brown furniture. I stopped by on a monday afternoon, so the owner had plenty of time to talk about his place and hius plans for the selection in the future. The current selecion is a mix of industrial and mostly Danish craft beer, with Fanø as the most interesting. They have a single cask as well. | 68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 12/20 Camons (129) Hasselager, Denmark | December 26, 2012| Updated June 24, 2008 Nice cozy pub / resturant in the center of town. Visited on a day with a Fanø bryg tap take over, so selection that day abit above normal. Good food, nice service allthough very crowded. Fairly priced and a nice place to visit. |
