Sure the most interesting place to drink in Esbjerg, but I think itís a bit hyped. The tap selelction didnít impress, but overall itís a nice place. Had some reasonable food too. Definately a place Iíd hang out if I lived in the town.

Visited here both in September 09 and then last month on 22-10-09 and 23-10-09 when at Esbjerg Danish Regional Beer Festival. I really like this place, it has a decent beer list, not stunning by any stretch of the imagination but it is decent enough especially for a non-local like me. The food is quite excellent, nothing fancy but the burgers are homemade and go on an empty stomach as they are just huge. Often a good place to get one of the local Esbjerg beers. Very nice surroundings and well situated, a really pleasant place.

One cask ale, a couple of interesting taps, and a just acceptable bottle list. Decent food in classic Danish cafe style.

Very nice and cozy beer spot. Local beers and (Danish , Belgian, German)macros all together, one new English cask every week. Good service. Good nachos indeed!

Been there a few times. Quite big with bar and pub downstairs, possibility to sit outdoor, restaurant area at the top floor. The beers I had were not something special and they did not have any I had not tried before. The premises were, however, quite cosy, the staff friendly and I have always had a good time there. Have not eaten there yet.

I stop by once a year. One of the few places in Jylland with real cask ale, normally opend on wednesdays. Also they usualy have one tap with Esbjerg microbrewery. Bottle selection very decresed in the last years. DōE meeting place.

A huge made to look English/Irish pub. A quite wide range, but the speciality, beers from Esbjerg Mikrobryg was off at the time for my visit - and that was the only reason I went, so I was very disappointed. I had a new stale cask beer - but it had been open for 3 whole days, which didnít do the beer any good. The service was OK, they did check the cellar for extra kegs of Esbjerg beer, but were slow at the table. The food was OK, nothing fancy in the cafe for lunch. Donít go out of your way for this place, but if you pass right by, then drop in.

Excellent spot right on the main square. Lots of seats outside if you feel like watching the world go by. Quite pubby feel inside. Sat at the bar on a quiet Monday afternoon. Barman friendly and knowledgable. I counted 19 taps, of which about half were Danish microbrews. I got an Esbjerg MIcrobryg beer, which was what I was mainly after but there were also another three new beers for me. Didnít look at the bottle selection or eat - there is a separate restaurant off to the side, donít know whether they do food in the bar part. I imagine this place would get a lot more lively in the evening (there seems to be some sort of nightclub downstairs). Highly recommended for your first Danish beer or two if you are coming off the ferry. Or at any time for that matter.
