A tasting set of six 5 oz pours for 13$, a burger set at 13$ that was named one of the best burgers in town plus 2$ to upgrade to a poutine(which while good wasn’t so authentic). Very cool place concrete flours, tons of stainless steel brew tanks and friendly staff make this one a winner. The only big negative was that as it is such a trendy popular place with the music on it was so noisy I couldn’t really hear the bartender.

A good but, a little small, place. Brews are great, definitely made to be paired with food. Luckily, the food here is very good. Certainly worth seeking out for the beer alone but, grab some grub. You won’t be disappointed.

A nice newish brewbup in Chicago. Visited with some friends and has a nice space that has a nice outdoor area on the street. A long bar that allowed for some seating despite being busy. Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable about the beers on tap of which there were a good number including some guest taps. I did not sample the food on my visit and prices were in line with Chicago. I enjoyed my visit and will likely be back again.

Pretty chill little spot, visited on a weekday around noon so not many people around. Would assume this place gets busy but not many people offered when I showed up. Lots of bar space. Beer brewed while we were enjoying a pint which is a good sign. Clean shitters. The beers were solid for brewpub beers, nothing too complex or mind blowing with minimal flaws. The food was decent. Frites did not seem house made, just kind of bland. Chipotle ketchup was awful, Garlic mayo was decent but tasted old. Mac and cheese was rich yet boring, not enough crumbs. Seems like they know this as acidic hot sauce was offered by the bartender. Staff was chill, attentive in between checking cell phone internet. It’s slow, nobody’s drink was empty, but you can tell these guys are pretty relaxed and not managed too well. Pretty cheap for the area. 5 house rakes + fruit soda brew concoction, maybe 7 guest taps as well. Overall would go back. The unrateable radler thing made on site was pretty fine. Could drink a lot of that if offered. Rambly review over.

A Wonderful first stop on the last day of my 2014 Xmas Chicago trip. This place is classy and well decorated, blending the brewery with the restaurant, sobre, bright tanks on the bar wall, upscale pub fare with good portion (the Ancho cooked pork with molasses sauce was great) and the beers are great, 7 X 5on. for 13$.A must in northern Chicagoland.

Visited August 12, 2013.
From the outside it isnt completely obvious that this is fairly "upscale" in terms of pricing, until you look at the menu. I heard stories about how people visit this place more for the food than for the beer and that they ran out of food at one point. I had just eaten about a pound of Kuma’s so I scrolled past for the most part but did order a basket of fries for the group. The sriracha / ketchup blend was alright and the garlic aoli was decent. The fries and a flight came out to $23 sub total...
The beer was decent at best. I think my favorite was the hefe. Two of the house beers had run out and it was a little frustrating that they wouldn’t just sell a smaller flight. They added in a Belgian IPA from Vivant and some cider that I didnt care for (it tasted funky). The service was alright as was the feel of the place but I can’t see myself spending a lot of time here.

This place was totally packed on a Thursday by 6pm, they picked the right locale. 6 taster sampler, 4 of them were decent. Despite the crowd, service was quick. Menu provided some nice options, pretty tastey. I’d like this place, but with the crowd and distance from my home, I won’t be back.

A cool brewery in Lakeview, Chicago. They’ve only been open about 2 weeks. They have seating for 50-60 people between tables and a great bar that faces their tanks of beer. Everything they use for brewing is in plain sight behind glass walls. They currently have 5 of their own brews, a couple of collaborations, a few guest taps, and food options. They have very friendly service and growlers or half growlers to go.
