In an old pizza hut in monroeville. Because of the ol pizza hut thing the ambiance is not very inviting. Service was a bit disappoiting as the waitress never knows whats new on tap. selection is decent but not great for a beer bar. Food is not healthy, but pretty good and really cheap. OVerall value pretty decent worth stopping if you are in the area but not to go out of your way for.

Stopped by a few weeks ago on a whim and really liked the beer selection. It did seem like some of the spaces in the cooler were emply and they could have paid more attention to stocking. Great draft selection. I had a very hard time deciding what to drink. We ordered some food and it was also very good. The only recommendation I would have would be to get a different hot dog bun. We had a great dog on what seemed to be a 59 cents per pack bun that was hard on the end. The food would have been a 100% if they used a higher quality dog bun. I would definately stop again when I am in the monroeville area.

Generally, the Pittsburgh beer seen is just O.K. at best. However, this place is great. A very cozy, happening bar/grill with many, many beers on draft. They had a very respectable regional, national, and international draft profile. Prices were reasonable considering beer prices in PA are high across the board. The food looked great, although I didnít try any. Workers seemed knowledgeable and enthusiastic about beer. Not far from the highway. Worth the stop.

Not as good a place as it used to be but still a decent place out. Located in a former Pizza Hut building and it shows. Lots of breweriana on the walls. 42 taps with good selection and decent prices. Lots of bottles. The staff definitely knows the beer. Food is good pub stuff, large portions, good prices. Definitely worth a stop on this side of Pittsburgh.

Smaller than the original location, this Dís has a decent selection of micros and imports. A bit off the beaten path from the main drag in Monroeville, it is a little closer to me than the first location. Prices are still high, especially with the Allegheny Co taxes, though you get a $1 off each bottle when you do take-out.

Great hot dogs and greasy food ... lots of bottles in the backroom beer cave ... a handful of so so micros to top shelf stuff tapped usually ... TVs always have way too loud sports crap on them ... (must every bar in PGH have sports on a tv ??? WTF ? )
Too crowded anymore to be enjoyable IMHO ... the secret got out awhile ago ... lot of yuppies and grad student types lurking about ... very small and cramped ... they need about 4 times as much space as they do ......... Oh, and the prices are very high .......

A better bar than the original Dís but not as complete a selection of bottles for the six packs. Substantially less Belgiums around, much more local stuff. The coolers are more organized. But it is basically a bar and small restaurant. The taps were mostly the macro group, there were a good number of micros listed but only a few I never tried and they were the wheat/amber variety. Nothing to knock my socks off. Monroeville is a much much better part of town, with parking being no problem. Given I could not find the RIver Pour House, I am a little down on the city and coming back so quickly.

Went here to finish up a birthday celebration. Not much to say as far as ambiance goes. Service is fast, proper glassware for the beer ordered. Selection is great, lots of taps lots of bottles, something for everyone. Food is good, service is very quick there. Great place to throw back some great beers and get a bite to eat.
