Checked out a few places while in NYC on two separate trips. Its a little corner grocery store and they advertise that they have 1,000 different beers. There were certainly a lot of different beers to choose from but many of them were in 6 packs and the clerk that I talked to said they would break 6 packs. Plenty of east coast stuff to choose from as well as a very nice German selection and a good Belgian selection. The people were nice and helpful. Would probably stop in again.

Excellent and well organized beer selection (by state and/or country). Very helpful, friendly knowledgeable staff. The beer is sitting on the shelf (not cooled which can be inconvenient for immediate consumption but is good for enjoyment of browsing). Some of the beer is past itís expiry date though never had anything that didnít taste fairly good. Prices are higher than NBD, lower than Bierkraft I think, but you pay for the best selection in the city. To the reviewer who posted "average" selection Iím not sure what they mean. They have one of the biggest selections in NYC. By far the biggest Iíve ever seen and Iím a hobbyist whoís been to New Beer Distr., Bierkrafft, Whole Foods on Houston and many other places. If you know of a better selection in NYC Iíd like to hear it. Theyíve got beers from Iceland, rare beers and other places youíve never heard of; and the guy that said they focus on Europe is just plain wrong. Theyíve got every brewer of note state-side organized by state as well.

Average Polish deli with many dated beers. It seems taht they selling brews just by the way. Average selection. Many of Polish lagers were past best before date.

very decent selection for a supermarket, particularly for Polish and Belgian beer selection inside of metro NYC. Servic is supermarket, not beer experts.

Polish supermarket with an extremely extensive beer department! based on the ratings I wasnít expecting much, but this place has a really great selection. Lots of American micro stuff, as well as the general things. The imported section is massive, and well organized. Easily the largest Eastern European selection in NYC. They have some bottles of interest that donít get snatched right away because many beer geeks go to other stores rather than this one, therefore some cool older bottles are laying around like Sixpoint Bolshoi. They even had a Abbaye Saint Bon Chien 2005 for $25. I think thatís $3 more than New Beer, but they are the only other place that has it in NYC (that I know of) The Belgian section was also nice, as well of plenty of French beers (Biere de Gardes) I found an old St. Feullien Tripel 11oz bottle for $3. This place is definitely worth a visit.

A Polish deli/market with a surprisingly diverse beer selection--most of the commonly imported Belgians are available as well as many E. European beers. Selection of American micros holds its own with many beverage houses. Seems for the most part slightly cheaper than Bierkraft, though itís in a strange out of the way location which makes Bierkraft or American a more convenient option for a beer run.
