Now in a different warehouse located a mile from the original location on a very tiny street. They donít yet have a sign thigh they have a banner and the address has been spray painted on the building. They have a small parking lot which leads to a warehouse growler space whic is shared with a coffee roaster. They have 8-10 on draft plus some bombers of more obscure stuff. As others have noted they allow for unlimited samples with the idea that you will procure a growler. Their beers are solid but not mandatory but the bartender was talkative and they have an amazing root beer. Give. The size of the space and lack of larking in the area a brewpub doesnít make much sense.

On one hand itís your typical warehouse brewery (and a pretty drab warehouse at that), but on the other hand they share the space with a coffee roastery, which is a little unusual but gives the place a nice aroma. Bunches of beers on tap, and pretty much unlimited samples, but I think the expectation is that you get a growler after the samples (which I did). Beers are all very nice. The prices to go are a little high but not unreasonable. The bartender was friendly. A small parking lot, but it was plenty on a Friday afternoon. I wish I could drink their beers more often, so Iím really glad I stopped by.

Nice brewery setup with a clean taproom. They will sample anything for you. A couple saturdays a month they have tours($25 but you get $15 to spend in house). Nice growler prices.

New growler room is much nicer than their old facility. There were about 10 beers on tap plus some sodas - the ginger ale was real tasty too. The guys filling samples and growlers were very friendly despite the large demanding crowd.

I mean, itís the brewery, so how can the selection not be 15? They are very friendly and accommodating and their new location is convenient even though the area is a little shady.

I have visited East End Brewing twice in the past 3 years. The most recent visit was about 2-3 weeks ago. You walk into the tasting area from the street. Its a small space with no place to sit. So its mainly set up just for growler fills and thats it. PA crazy liquor laws abound. You canít buy a pint, but they will give you as many free samples as you want. And you have to buy one of their growlers. Another law. The bartender was very knowledgeable helpful in selecting beer to sample and fill. I also bought a couple bottles. But those prices are way too high for the quality of the beer inside. No way Iím going back to buy bottles.
Overall its just a growler stop with nothing more to add. No real ambiance other than to stop in and get a growler fill.

Dingy warehouse in semi-rough part of town. This is a warehouse, not a restaurant or bar. Chris put it perfectly: "You come to have your growlers filled." Probably water or booze on the floor when you get here. Probably 1-2 volunteers filling them while chatting up locals. Probably every local has a free sample in hands... you can try everything for free. Typically 8-10 taps, root beer, and swag and a few bottles for purchase as well. Not much to do but chat, sample, and take to-go, so plan 30 minutes and stop by. If their beers werenít available on tap elsewhere, this would be a must.

Visited from out of state. A 5 for Ambiance is totally subjective. We were there in December, and the tasting room is a barely insulated room at the front of the brewery with a number of tap heads coming out of the side of a massive refrigerator (although that day it was about 40 in there so the fridge wasnít really needed) I dug it, it was raw an rustic and said "stop in with your growler get your goods and then get back to your day. I thought it was cool.
Selection is also top shelf in my book as I was able to grab a vintage bottle of Gratitude. Its a must swing thru anytime Iím in the Burgh.
