This is a place worth going out of your way for. We were there at a very slow time and given excellent service by an incredibly friendly staff who knows their beer well. The bottle room is worth a visit on its own and is well-stocked with a few surprising treasures. The beer was reasonably priced, with only two disappointments out of about 15 that we tried (though none of their beer is bad!). The ambience, the service and the extraordinary craft beer makes de Molen an absolute must-see in Holland.

Took us a while to find this place but once I saw the windmill we had arrived. Cool little brew pub. Grabbed a a few Tsarina Ezra from the store and sat down to a wonderful sandwich. You could smell the malt in the air. Great stop on our way to Antwerp.

Very nice place. the service is slow but the staff is friendly and polite. Food is overpriced , i took the dutch menu (Dutch shrimps, dover soles, Semolina pudding & berry juice for 31€, fried chips were offered) anyway dover soles were great, the dessert..no! I love his beer, and drink a De Molen beer on tap in De Molen brewpub was exciting, the price of the beers on tap is fair: Donder&Bliksem (boheems pilsner, 5,5%, 2,75€); Wit&Waarachting (ons eigen witbier, 5 %, 3€); Heen&Weer (tripel, 9,2%, 4,25€); Hel&Verdoemenis (russian imperial stout, 10,2%, 5,25€) were the top. Hot&Spicy (10%, 3,25€ proefglas) for me was better than mikeller texas ranger. Bed&Breakfast (coffiebitter, 4%, 3€) the taste is so intense, to match with a dessert or to drink alone. In the beer shop you can find his production and all the best brewing as well (Founders, Mikeller, Haandbryggerie, Nøgne, Amager, Westvleteren). i’ll go back in the future

My and a mate spent 6 hours at De Molen, and drank quite a lot of beer. Also we had a nice meal. Spent a lot of dollars in the shop, so all in all, a very nice visit. Will definatly be back.

Visited the brewery for tasting and lunch. The beers were excellent and our server was extremely friendly and knew a great deal about the beers. The food was great and not overly expensive. The store however was a bit pricy since a bottle of US beer cost much more than a six pack back home. Well worth a visit.

Nice place to visted with some lovely beers on tap. The food is realy good. The shop have many diffent beer from usa, italy, and belgium. Drink here some great beers on tap as Raputin, Hel & Verdoemenis enz... Come there many times. And on the festival this area is the bommmm.

Stopped in this past summer. Had a wedding party going on so supposed to be closed, but Peter was quite the host and had the chef whip up some steaks and veggies for us (very tasty) and cracked open a few bottles of Weer & Wind and H&V Wild Turkey. Nice bottle shop packed with tasty euro treats and US brews. Prices are decent. A must visit.

Had to make a visit after missing 3rd Borefts Festival due to schedule difficulties. Wow! Maybe not beer drinker’s paradise on its own, but one location in paradise for sure. Wonderful rustic atmosphere, friendly staff, superb beer as is well-known. Excellent high quality beer shop. De Molen beers are presented in a well-deserved self-confident way scratching on boast. Maybe a bit expensive, but you’re exempt from laboriously assembling all that superb stuff from different places. Can’t rate food for a self-evident reason: I didn’t try.

I come in this place from the beginning in the summer of 2004. It’s always really nice.
