Visited March 2013. Many people on a saturday afternoon. We also went on the guided tour of the brewery, which was great.Smiling and friendly service, excellent selection. Rustique decor and nice ambience.

Visited on a random Saturday afternoon. Cool place, the setting is quite quaint. Do the tour if you have a chance, the old brewing system is something to see (and so is the new one!) Staff is friendly and helpful, and they know a thing or two about beer ;) There are 10 de molen beers on draft. There was a bit of commotion due to a private party when I was there so I didnít stay for food, but Iíll certainly be back.

Nice restaurant. De Molen beers on tap. Went there at a non-festival time, so was calm and quite.

Popped by after day one of Borefts 2013 so experienced this venue on an atypical night.
The place was packed as youíd imagine but they had staffed up well and we only waited around a minute to be served.
7 or 8 De Molen beers on tap. As you probably know the place is situated below a windmill and we ventured outside to sit in the patio garden beneath its sails. great venue a must visit if in the area.

A beautiful and cosy restaurant located close to the brewery. The restaurant has a canal view canal and offers some lovely views. The beer list is awesome and so is the food. Do ask for recommendations of food and beer parings.

Finally made it here. Was religious experience for me as the mill (de Arkduif) formally was owned by my great grandmothers family. The ambiance and restuarant itself are outstanding as was the pricey food. Had a few Imperial Stouts that rocked. just the best place ever

Place rating number 800.
Visited September 2012 for the Borefts festival.
The festival was awesome, though a bit overwhelming, and part of that festival was at hte brewery and not the restaurant. 1 euro per token and well over a hundred beers to try. It was ridiculous. After we tapped out (80 or 90 ticks) we went into the restaurant to check it out and to go up into the windmill. Itís really neat that you climb up into it and look out over the water. The gift shop is nice too since you can buy bottles with dinner, and I think to go but I wasnít overly interested in hauling more bottles home. I saw some Westvleteren 8 in the corner that was presumably for sale but I didnít check. The service was great the whole day and not just at the festival. I would definitely come back if in the area.
