I visited the bottle shop during Borefts 2012. The shop’s small, but manages to cram a few hundred bottles into the space. The selection of De Molen beers is unsuprisingly large and impressive. There’s also a decent amount of rare stuff from the US, Scandanavia, and the UK. I was suprised that a few brewers present at the fest weren’t available in the shop. The prices can be a bit high (especially for the De Molen beers, which are cheaper at other shops in the Netherlands), but some of the US stuff was actually pretty good value. Overall, you should definitely have a look if you’re in Bodegraven.

Visited during Borefts 2012. The bottle shop is certainly exceptional, with a wonderful range of beers from around the world. The De Molen selection is, not surprisingly, excellent. The prices can be pretty high, especially for some of the more obscure American stuff. De Molen’s beers, funilly enough, can be a bit more expensive than you would find them at other bottle shops (e.g. De Bierkoning), but only a little bit. It’s hard for me to say if I would journey here when the festival isn’t going on (Bodegraven isn’t exactly a must-visit town, aside from De Molen), but I’ll happily return for Borefts. For people who don’t want to venture to Bodegraven, you can pick up lots of great De Molen beers in and around Amsterdam.

Nice place to find amazing beer. I went to De Molen for the 4th Borefts Beers Festival. The place is really nice and it’s a pleasure to drink a beer there. Selection is also great and you can buy beers at the shop.

Enjoyed and purchased quite a few beers here during the first day of the 4th Borefts festival. Seems like a nice and friendly place that I’d love to visit again at a later date.

Excellent, especially on a sunny day on the patio. Nice sandwiches. Excellent selection of de molen beers on tap and a beer shop with high quality offerings from all corners of the world.

Great beer, great service and great food. A super beer shop packed with hard to find beers too. What more could a man want? A lovely outside terrace too for when the sun shines. Try and make one of their second Tuesday tastings. It's well worth it!

What can you say, the place is amazing, the food stellar, the beer shop unreal, the service top notch. I wanted to buy some glasses and they said they were sold out, but then gave me some from the behind the bar. Stop what you’re doing and go there.

I had the fortune to share an evening here with a good friend and Peter Paul for de Molen. A truly wonderful evening I won’t forget!

Best place in Netherlands! Hands down!
