Restaurant / bar with multiple rooms and a shop with an excellent selection, though the beers not from De Molen are slightly overpriced. Same goes for food (which is good) and drinks in the restaurant. Sitting in the beer garden after the RBESG grand tasting was rather relaxing and nice though.

Beautiful ambiance and very kind staff. Amazing selection of De Molen beers. It was a pity I missed the tour of the brewery.

Visited during RBESG 2013. Interior is really beautiful, lovely, lots of great dark wood. Beautiful place. Quite friendly & great service. +/- 10 or beers on tap. Majority of them De Molen, great shape & one very good guest tap. Didn’t check out the bottles. Prices for beers were much like the shop, exaggerated in my opinions. The most I have probably paid for beers like this on draft & this concerns beers they brew themselves. Things should be cheaper, some of the highest if not the highest tap prices I have ever seen. Didn’t eat stuff of the menu but they made some food for us which was very nicely priced & very yummy. Tried some stuff also during Borefts, also quite delicious.

Visited during RBESG 2013. We had a few beers and then was served dinner in our own room on second floor. Went back after Grand Tasting and had a few more beers in the outdoor-section. 7-8 De Molen-beers on tap, never asked for any bottles. Very nice place, relaxed and rather pleasant also when it was crowded late in the evening.

Took the train here from Utrecht which was really easy, short walk from the train station. Very cool place, nice bar and dining area, nice and clean. The bartender was nice enough to let me check out the bottle shop after hours and buy a few beers. The bottle shop was awesome, so many great beers from all over the world, great prices on De Molen stuff. Got a table and ordered some beers to start, they have small pour options which is really nice if you want to try lots of beers without getting wasted but they aren’t cheap. Ordered some food which sounded great but turned out to be not very good at all, tiny fried fish and tuff, dry goose with overcooked vegetables. Prices were very high on food and pretty high on beer too, especially considering it’s their own beer. Come here for the beer and bottle shop, I’d eat elsewhere though.

This is the restaurant attached to the shop and it is a great relaxing place. The staff know their beers and they know what to advise. What is sad is that they charge a premium to drink there. I just bought some beers from the shop and I couldn’t drink them and if I ordered them I would have to pay extra. The food was delicious but it was lacking in sides. I wouldn’t come here for the food anyway. Nonetheless, the selection of DeMolen and other beers is impressive and coming here to get some drinks is really a nice option.

This place is well worth, the trouble getting there. The bar area had five of their recent brews on tap and you could buy many more of the bottled ones. The store had a pretty good selection considering how small it was. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The tour was fairly interesting, but mostly about the brewing process. If you can make out there, got for it if for no other reason than their hard to find beers. Great Brewery.

Only a cheap and short train ride away from Amsterdam (30 to 45 minutes?), visiting De Molen is a must if you spend more than one day in Amsterdam. The little quiet and apparently conservative village where De Molen is located is such a change of pace from the extra-liberal Amsterdam that it is almost like you’re in another country. The pub is a five minute walk from the gas station and is truly charming. As expected built in a windmill structure. Old, well-restored and inviting. A few tables on the side offers a front patio for less than 10 people. The inside is divided in two rooms, one is more pub and one more restaurant, and it can accommodate approximately 75 people. There was 6 beers on tap, all in perfect shape (unlike their bottles that often suffer carbonation issues) and all very good. Food is not elaborated but it is original and also very good, this is not your burger and fries pub. Also let’s not forget the Bottle Shop on your left when you walk in. Quite small but offers a surprisingly good selection, a lot more than just De Molen beers. I even bought there a rare Italian Saison (Toccalmatto Sibilla) because I’m a saison-whore. And also I wrote to the store a month before I came to put limited beers aside for me and when I got there my rare beers were there waiting for me. Staff couldn’t be more friendly and knowledgeable. If you can’t tell, I really loved that place. A must.

Beer shop has a good, but variable range. Relatively expensive. Restaurant is nice, but food average. Service friendly, but slow.
