Visited on a Tuesday morning. Range has improved somewhat with Letra A through to E on sale, Maldita, Sovina and other Portuguese micros plus the other macro and European offering. Scopey will be pleased to know the red T is still glowing strong.
Definitely worth a look. The Letra beers even had own shelf on an aisle end!

First of all, for those who arenít familiar, this place is huge. Its like a giant Macyís on top of a supermarket. Took me a while to wind my way to the basement where the food was. Once there, I located the single shelf of beer. Pretty supermarket standard. A fair number of Portuguese micros, a ton of macro crap, and a decent Belgian selection. OK.

Although it sells mostly Portuguese and Spanish macro brews, by Portuguese standards, it has some variety of brews of many countries. Besides the Portuguese and Spanish macro selection, we have some German macro and craft brews, some Trappist and Abbey Belgian beers and also some English macro made Ales. Recently Iíve been seeing some selection of Portuguese craft beers. Despite saying that, they really should expand their selection and provide better staff service.

Located due north of Park Eduardo VII, north of central Lisbon. El Corte Ingles is a bog-standard supermarket outpost with a very-so-so selection of beer. No Portuguese micros to speak of, instead it is dominated by macro brews. The best options hail from Belgium with Cuvee Rene and the likes, with nothing particularly special on offer. Weirdly enough the only beer I did actually buy was the uber-rare Whisky oak-aged version of Tennentís. I kid you not! Do yourself a favour and do an IP trade with andregoncalves instead! Only stop buy if you are dying of thirst.

Sells most of the macro Portuguese beers, but I also managed to pick up a bottle of beer from Mozambique, which was a new country for me. The selection is ok by Portuguese standards, but thatís not saying too much.

Iíve been in many Spanish supermarkets of this chain; the one in Lisbon is quite poor as for selection.

Not hard to find. Good selection for Portugal (mainly European macros) but unfortunately all big bottles were 8Ä or more. And Iím really interested how Greek Corora type beer (Blue Island) got here. Otherwise pretty standard local beer selection.
