68 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 Walt (189) Austin, Texas | June 6, 2008 I will definitely be back here! Good beer selection for a restaurant as other raters said...nothing rare or super complex at all, just one of the best session beer selections (quality, not quantity) I have ever seen in a restaurant...I might even consider this the best beer bar in Schaumburg...ha! Food menu looks AWESOME though! |
66 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 13/20 Zeswaft (111) Seattle, Washington | February 28, 2006 Hear me out fully! This is definitely a highfalutin restaurant (just look at the pretentious name) above all else. This place literally just opened three days ago. It is an outrageously gorgeous $18 million restaurant and bar on the backroads of, nowhere else than, megamall Schaumburg. Atmosphere is as cozy and awe-inspiring as a Frank Lloyd Wright house. The food is fantastic, comparable to Morton’s down the street, but they have ~$10 items such as a burger. However, you will feel mighty out-of-place if you wear much less than some type of blazer here (might not even be let in). The entering of this place as a beer site is because they have four beers, albeit not that great, but unprecedented for this area restaurant...GI Honkers, Victory Prima Pills, Two Brothers Edel-Weiss, Allagash White on tap. The waiter said the bar area has some pretty great beers including DFH 90 minute. BEWARE, the tap beers were $5.50 each. BOTTOM LINE, 100% first-class restaurant to take a date/wife for a special occasion and be able to get a good beer. They have a great selection of wines, champagne, liquor too. Bar area is probably a great place to pick up divorced cougars. Food, service, and atmosphere are the main attraction, the beer is an added bonus. Bar area allows cigar smoking. Don’t be intimidated, staff, including manager/owner is overly polite. |
