You had to know one thing about this trip to SLC, i was not going to leave without 1 place tick and here it is. Stopped by briefly on my way back to the hotel, small bottle shop with some interesting grabs including big bad baptist. I grabed two bottles and a quick conversation with the chap behind the counter. I guess they have a tasting room, but with needing to order food and me just eating a big lunch, it was pass. Okay i guess but when stacked up against places in more booze friendly areas this would just be white noise.

Industrial setting. Small bottle shop and even smaller "restaurant". Whatever is required to comply with UT state law. Nice selection of bottles for sale or to sample onsite. Super friendly staff. I enjoyed it here.

Was pretty disappointed with this stop. I guess maybe I should have done some better research first...

It’s basically just a bottle shop that only sells Epic bottles. They do have a tiny tasting room here, but you have to buy food in order to try any of the beers on draft. That was kind of lame and I wasn’t hungry. Plus, they only had maybe a couple of things I had not tried before on draft, and it wasn’t worth buying a $10 meal to get a couple ounces of each one.

The people are at least friendly here, though, and they seemed to understand my confusion and disappointment. If you want to try their beers on draft, you’re better off heading down to Sugarhouse and going to The Annex.

Great selection of their own beers, really good prices, decent location. Recommended to visit.

Take this place rating with a grain of salt, but it was one of my worst service experiences with a brewery ever. I was in town from Indiana, with limited time, and this was one of two spots I wanted to try. I dropped in hoping for a sandwich and to sample a few of their beers, and they turned my party of 4 away, refusing to serve us in the patio area (the small bar was full) because they only had 1 guy serving at the bar (yet there were three guys on the sales side of the place who looked to mostly be twiddling their thumbs. They tried to send us over to The Annex instead (their upscale/club location which serves expensive food). My son lives in SLC, and I’ll be going back to visit him, but since this place wasn’t interested in giving me the time of day, I’ll return the sentiment in kind. Oh, and I was quite polite about the whole thing, and didn’t give any snotty attitude, so it wasn’t a case of a server not wanting to deal with an unreasonable customer.

THE BEST beer in town bar none! They have quite the list of seasonal and standard beers. Not sure there is a style or type of brew they do not do. Being in Utah all the good stuff must be bought in 750 ml bottles which is fine. Tap beer is low percent alcohol only.

It’s all very complicated. Like Uinta and Utah Brewers Cooperative they have a store which sells cold bottles and merch. Unlike those two they have a restaurant which, by law, can seat no more than 9 people. Apparently they have to make 70% of their sales through food so you have to buy a food entree’ to sample the beers. The food was reasonably priced and surprisingly tasty. The beer’s the thing here. They had 25-27 beers available at samples that ranged from .40 to $1. The day I went it seemed like everyone was from PA so I stayed and talked for hours. The staff is incredibly fun to hang out with. This one of my most enjoyable brewery visits.

Somehow I’ve failed to record my couple visits here. Situated near downtown SLC, Epic is a must-stop place for a visiting beer lover -- stock up on a few bottles and take ’em to go. I guess they have a little tasting area, but I’ve always just taken some things to go and sat safely elsewhere. Great beers, good prices, friendly little shop. (Brewery #624)
