I donít think this pub was here during the 12 years I lived in London, but Iíve passed it a dozen or so times on trips to the capital since then. For some reason I assumed it would be an underground bar given its a tiny plinth of a building that is one of a pair that acts as the gateway to the modern station building - thereís no below level area so I was mildly surprised to find that this small rectangular building no more than a few metres in length and width is very much it. As such itís a very tiny affair with a central bar along the back wall and whatever simple small tables and chairs they squeeze in around the rest of the perimeter. An upstairs level has been added with a metallic spiral staircase leading up to it - this is where the tiny toilets are located too, which along with most of the place are looking worn and grotty. However this doesnít seem to stop people coming here and itís clearly the rotating choices of cask and keg that appeal. All are written up on chalkboards above the bar, the 4 cask are on this board to the right, and similarly the keg choices are on the one to the left. Cider Tap occupies the other gatehouse building opposite, although I did not go in here - but itís probably a similar set-up. Donít expect to be able to find a seat at peak times.

Often quite buisy, plenty of seating outside. Quite a lot of empty glasse and crisp bags lying around on my first visit and service was kind of slow. Next day: clean and quick. Selection was good, seems to focus mainly on London breweries. Selection changes during the evening. Prices were good but cans and bottles from the fridge seemed a tiny bit expensive. Will be back.

Very nice and interesting place. I was surprised when I found it at how small it is and what it actually is. Whole bunch of people drinking in front of it gave it away really. So itís definitely not roomy, only the bar down stairs and a few tables upstairs with some sort of terrace and festival fenced area outside. Looks nice enough and I guess the best way to sip is standing outside. I can imagine myself stopping for a different pint every day after work. The selection of tap/cask is amazing and again, like so many times in London, I didnít even get to the bottles. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Will visit again along with itís sister, the Cider tap!

One of my very favourite pubs in London. Excellent and changing selection of beer, UK and international, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I like their attention to IPAs in particular. Well worth going out of your way to pay a visit.

Located just ouside Euston station, so easy to get to. Good selection of cask, keg and bottles with domestic, American, German, Belgian and Danish stuff. Prices are fair and the selection changes so there is always something worth trying. Itís a small place that gets crowded and noisy, so it works best in the summer when you can bring your beer outside. The area also delivers pretty well when it comes to people watching.
Service is friendly and knowledgeable, but it can take a while to get served when the place is busy, which it usually is. Also the sound level doesnít do much to facilitate dialogue with the staff; just shout your order and move away from the bar area. An ok place to go with friends if you have any, but if you like me go on your own it is too noisy and crowded. I had one beer, ran to the train and cried all the way home.

Damn - this place is awesome. A tiny little hole in the wall located in a separate building outside of Euston station (which is good to know, since I spent quite a bit of time poking around the station itself looking for it). A darkish space with a large square bar filling half of the room. There are coolers lining the back wall and these have a great selection of Belgian and American beer in them. Up a (very) windy staircase and you land in a pretty bright and open seating area. The bar has a nice mix of casks and kegs with the latter being significantly pricier than the former. Staff appear surly but are pretty friendly and very knowledgeable. One of the coolest spots Iíve been to in terms of packing so much quality product into such a tiny place.

One of the best pubs in London beer-wise. Like most pubs does have ups and downs but usually excellent. Keen knowledgable staff working frantically still manage to smile and chat. Only downside are the loos but this is such a minute pub in an historically important small building so nothing they can do.
