This is the place I find myself coming back to whenever I’m in Aarhus. The previous ratings really say it all: Ten taps nine of which with mostly interesting Danish microbrew (typically some Mikkeller, Amager, Ugly Duck and others like Beer Here, HornBeer, To Øl, Croocked Moon and Evil Twin) and one international tap. Staff are YMCA/YWCA volunteers and very forthcoming and approachable. You get free samples and can buy a five glass tasting kit (I believe it’s around 1 dl of each beer) for a very reasonable price. Outside of the Studenterhus I have yet to find a better place serving microbrew in Aarhus. Limited seating but in the afternoon it’s rarely busy. This can change on the few occasions (Fri/Sat), when they have live music. Food is mostly sandwiches and snacks. New rating reduces the score on selection as they stopped carrying bottled beer.

The epicenter of the beer scene in Aarhus. Aarhus only has so much to offer the beer lover, really, but Fairbar can fill up many evenings for beer geeks. What you get: Cool location on windy cobblestone streets in a nice older section of Aarhus. Unbelievable beer lineup. All kinds of cool selections from all over northern Europe, especially nordic countries, with a few western hemisphere bottles knocking around. Friendly staff, mostly very young. ALL volunteer. All proceeds go to charity. See? If you don’t drink here, you’re kind of a bad person. It’s a wonderful concept for a business, and they definitely back it up on the beer side--there’s tons of great stuff here, both draft and bottle, including some nice rarities. A must-visit for the beer lover in Aarhus. Maybe the only one (like I would know).

Have visited this lovely beerplace several times, and always a great experience to come by :-) They have a large variaty, of mainly danish beers, on tap, besides a nice selection of bottles as well.. During the year they do small festivals / events, for instance when the Christmas Beers comes out *<:-) or like meet the brewer events. Foods are mainly bar snack / sandwich. This bar is always worth a visit ( even though i feel a bit old compared to most people visiting this great bar :-) )

Best bar in Aarhus by far. Beers on tap are on frequent rotation, so regulars are presented to new beers every week. Free mini samples are often offered as well. Food is limited to sandwiches etc.

An interesting concept, running a bar on a voluntary basis. The downside is that the bar-keepers don’t necessarily know much of the beers they serve. But the selection is rotating and interesting, focusing on Danish micros of the best kind, so I see no good reason to complain. If in Aarhus, it’s a place you have to visit.

Really enjoyed this bar in Aarhus, one of my favorites in Denmark. Fairly quite bar on a Friday evening. Service was friendly but not overly knowledgeable. The selection consisted of 10 taps (danish micros) with a reasonable assortment of bottles. The real highlight was the tasting menu. For $12.50 US you could try 5 100ml samples of any of the tap beers and 100ml of peanuts. For Denmark, this is an insanely good deal.

Selection is great and service is friendly. As far as the atmosphere goes, the ambience is relaxed and café-like. Not a fan of the decor, and the whole interior feel is indifferent.. I like the whole non-profit / humanitarian idea behind it all, but even that, and good beer is not enough for me, as atmosphere and ambience are high priorities of mine. I will most likely come back at some point, but I’m not planning on it

Best bar/cafe in Århus, if you like me are mostly concerned about the beerselection. Atmosphere and decor is nothing special, but the sample tray is a treat. Some staff are knowkedgable, others not.

Cool bar in Aarhus with interesting beers on tap and bottle. There is ten taps, 9 with danish beer and 1 international. The staff is volunteers, so some of them don’t really know anything about the beers, but they offer you tastings before you order. Have fun/good/cool beer events through out the year

their sample tray is well worth it and their bottle selection is ’fairly’ broad.
