A nice place - a light and modernly decorated place with light wood on walls, floor, and bar. The barstools are so modern that they are hard to sit on. I like the concept with the bartenders working for free to help charity - and they were very nice, which balances out that they don’t know anything about the beers except for what their beer menu informs about. The menu has light meals, but I didn’t eat. No new beers for me, but the choices are of good quality: Amager, MIkkeller, Bøgedal, Indslev, and Raasted.

Have visited this lovely beerplace several times, and always a great experience to come by :-) They have a large variaty, of mainly danish beers, on tap, besides a nice selection of bottles as well.. During the year they do small festivals / events, for instance when the Christmas Beers comes out *<:-) or like meet the brewer events. Foods are mainly bar snack / sandwich. This bar is always worth a visit ( even though i feel a bit old compared to most people visiting this great bar :-) )

NIce place in Århus, rare beers on tap and they have a nice selection of high quality beers on bottle. Very friendly place and the people working try hard to know what they are doing. Food is availeble but not great. A beerplace to stop by.

The epicenter of the beer scene in Aarhus. Aarhus only has so much to offer the beer lover, really, but Fairbar can fill up many evenings for beer geeks. What you get: Cool location on windy cobblestone streets in a nice older section of Aarhus. Unbelievable beer lineup. All kinds of cool selections from all over northern Europe, especially nordic countries, with a few western hemisphere bottles knocking around. Friendly staff, mostly very young. ALL volunteer. All proceeds go to charity. See? If you don’t drink here, you’re kind of a bad person. It’s a wonderful concept for a business, and they definitely back it up on the beer side--there’s tons of great stuff here, both draft and bottle, including some nice rarities. A must-visit for the beer lover in Aarhus. Maybe the only one (like I would know).

A really nice, new-ish place in Aarhus. Not very knowledgable staff, but they’re friendly and are not against me teaching them a thing or two :o) Wonderful selection, miles ahead of anything else Aarhus has to offer. My go-to place in Aarhus.

There are no great bars in Aarhus, but this is surely among the best. The staff is friendly, but most of them know very little about the beer they serve. Prices are very low. They have a good selection of Danish beer and they change their lineup regularly. They have now added a single tap reserved for foreign beers. The interior is very cafe-like and that’s not a good thing in my book. They occasionally host tastings with interesting brewers.

An interesting concept, running a bar on a voluntary basis. The downside is that the bar-keepers don’t necessarily know much of the beers they serve. But the selection is rotating and interesting, focusing on Danish micros of the best kind, so I see no good reason to complain. If in Aarhus, it’s a place you have to visit.

Best bar in Aarhus by far. Beers on tap are on frequent rotation, so regulars are presented to new beers every week. Free mini samples are often offered as well. Food is limited to sandwiches etc.

Visited several times. A Non-profit cafe with volunteer bartenders. Only danish beer, but, in my opinion, from the best danish microbreweries. Jazzevenings and other events are often planned. A must go if in Aarhus. Especially ØJ-dag and the Spring beer event marks Fairbar as a great place for beerlovers.

’Fair’bar means that all staff are volunteers and that breweries sponsor beers to the place - profit goes to charity. This means that the service though very friendly knows not much about the beers they handle - but prices are very nice for a café in Aarhus. Selection is 6 of the best danish breweries - stuff that are rare out of shops in town (some on tap - E.g. Raasted Double Imp. Stout and other leftovers) Tastings are held. I’ll be back for more good feelings.
