Lovely small old-fashened English style pub not far from the center of Sheffield. Nice selection of tap beers of which a number of them change frequently. Bizar athmosphere but nice beers available. Definitly worth a visit.

Smallish pub in the valley of beer, one I remember fondly from years back. Quite an institution. There is a smaller range of beers than some but always seemingly in good nick. A must visit even for Sheffield.

A true gem, first proper pub in Sheffield and a total institution for real ale drinkers, always very busy, even the beer garden gets full, cheap home cooked food and a curry night compliments good value beers. Can find obscure hard to find micros in here, handpump only but a few German pilsners on draught. Steven and assistant manager Diane have been there since it opened in 1981, very helpful too

Traditional boozer with a decent selection. Prices and food were good. When we went on a Monday afternoon between Xmas and New Year it was surprisingly busy. Worth a stop for a beer or two. Maybe not so exciting if you are looking for modern styles of beers, but good place for some traditional cask offerings.

A wide variety of real ales from a tiny bar. Although multi roomed it still feels cramped wherever you are!

Nice small and also odd pub near the centre of Sheffield. Good selection of tap beers. Worth a visit when in Sheffield.

Great old-fashioned mutli-room corner pub located in the North of central Sheffield. Itís a traditional establishment with the focus on local ales at great prices. The beer styles on offer were fairly restrained (bitter, golden & mild etc) but well kept and rather quaffable. Great to see a big stack of pork-pies at the bar as well! Friendly atmosphere and good service. Didnít eat there, but the food look very good value indeed. A great boozer.

This place is something of an institution, so it was cool to finally be able to visit. Pretty traditional interior. Thereís a number of different rooms with an upstairs seating area and a back garden (it was baltic outside, so I refrained from checking it out). Plenty of staff were working behind the bar, so it didnít take long to get served. The cask options are plentiful (perhaps 10 or so). Kelham Island beers featured in great numbers. The selection was pretty traditional, but a number of different styles were represented. The beer was all in good condition. Apparently they do decent food here, but I didnít check it out. The prices are unbelievably cheap. Overall, a really nice place.

I loved my visit to the Fat Cat. The ale selection was superb and there were many beers iíve never even heard of before on tap. Great service too and wifi for rating! Check out the pork pies if there are any left and ask for the fruity brown sauce. That went down very nicely with a few beers. A must visit, along with Kelham Island, if in Sheffield.

Nice place. I went here as a student. Small place which gets packed easily. Good atmosphere and tap selection.
