A couple of quality sessions on a recent visit to SM and came away very favorably impressed. Small and cozy but with a nicely unvarnished woody feel, it came across as unpretentiously elegant. Vibe was good, from the super cool dude at the door, the mix of neighborhood regs and beer nerds, and a general conviviality (as always: if my non-beer nerd family likes it, it’s good independent of sudsy merit). Kinda crowded, and the burger wasn’t *that* good, but hard not to score this one very highly. Loads and loads of terrific beers available, it goes without saying. Really enjoyed it.

Wow. Love this place. First, the burger is ridiculous. I’ve had some top notch burgers but this one is up there. A must try. The taps are very solid. It was easy to get excited about the selection being an East Coast guy. It’s a clean looking place and had no proble finding a seat at 5:30 on a Thursday night. Will count down the days until I can hit up this spot again for a burger and a (few) beer(s).

A nice yet small pub in Santa Monica with an awesome burger. The beer selection was great, with about two dozen taps and several bottles. The place is self-service, and a long queue can build up for getting beers/food. Did I say the burger was awesome? Other food choices sounded good, but the burger was recommended.

Went here for my bday and overall my experience here was mediocre. Very tiny place with limited seating, and even less room for standing. Eventually after standing in a long line I was finally able to order a beer from an unhelpful bartender, and found a seat after loitering for a while, but that did not help the experience much.The food was decent but somewhat overpriced.

Crowded, limited seating, loud...the noise seems to become amplified because of the small cramped quarters. Grabbed a Pliny and left quickly. Bartenders didn’t seem to want to be there and were put off when someone requested a beer. Won’t revisit.

Been here twice. Last time was Saturday night. Nice selection. A lot from California. Prices on tap range from $6 to $10. Place was packed, but bartenders were quick in getting beer, wine and food out. Bartenders definitely know their beer. A lot of people order their famous hamburger. I had it once. It is good and worth trying. On this night we had the stuffed mission figs. They were good.

Small but interesting place. OK beer selection Food is expensive and doesn’t match the price. Can be very crowded. A little snobbish.

Love me the OG FO. These guys have been doing it longer than anyone and doing it right. Consistently superb tap list. Best burgers EVER. Good looking girls as patrons. It’s a can’t miss.

A great little pub located in something that resembles a resident neighborhood. Fantastic food and a great selection on tap. Try the burger when you are there.
