The older of two Wetherspoon pubs on the strip of bars on Broad Street in the city centre, with a more classic style in the chain’s look. This one attracts all ages but an older crowd would feel more comfortable here than the aforementioned sister pub. There’s also an open fireplace to add to the already comfortable surroundings. It also has a long and well stocked bar. WiFi and the usual menus obviously apply.

Reasonableish Wetherspoons place, slap bang in the middle of Broad Street, which means ordinarily it’s a place I’d give the swerve. Nice beer garden here, but packed of an evening. All the usual pros and cons.
