They have great beers. They host fun events support the local and non local scene. The tours are great if your into home brewing you pick up a lot of tricks of the trade.

I canít say enough about this place. Not only is it my local brewery, but it is also my favorite. This place consistently makes good brews and they continue to surprise me with the new stuff they have been putting out. If you havenít been there or try their beers, please do so. Tell them I said to stop by.

I called about touring the brewery on an off-day and managed to get myself and 2 friends in. The brewery itself is pretty impressive, eclipsing anything in Louisville. Almost all of their beers were available in the sampling room, though some only in bottles for sale. Very friendly, but in this industry thatís the norm.

Tour at flying dog brewery in Frederick. Tap room is great ... minimalist, good tables, great access to the bar, plenty of space. Very good selection, value is great at $5, tour was well done, staff are informative, and not condescending like some people can be. Take the tour.

Came to FD brewery as a guest to help build a cask for the stateline crew.... We went to Maxs in Baltimore for lunch and they picked us up in their RV to take us to the brewery...Pretty cool of them. Plus the RV has two taps in it! Boom! Road soda! Thatís good shit... So we get the brewery, typical industrial park setting... Walk right in to the tasting room, they give us some samples... take the tour, typical stuff, here is where we brew, here is where we ferment, here is where we bottle....etc... So back to the tasting room for more tastings. Cool.... Everyone is chill. We build our two cask.... more beer sampled some of which are brew pub only. They drive us back to Baltimore... Service was top notch the entire trip. Fast forward a month. They bring our cask beers to StateLine and have a tap take over... 22 beers or so. All are great. A lot of their employees are there including their CEO who seems down to earth... So all and all, these guys really went out of their way to take care of us and I appreciate it. I have always enjoyed their beers now I rave about the service as well. GOOD BEER, NO SHIT!!!

Iíve lived in Frederick most of my life and had never been before now. Surprised by the 2 month wait list but I understand the popularity. Samples galore, tour guide was funny and informative. Interesting sampling the IPA through its various steps, much more interesting then merely being told. Whole thing lasted 2 hours and walked away with a small glass and a poster.

A great place to stop by for a cheap Saturday brewery tour and a couple beers, and the occasional festival. The tour has become much more popular in the past year, and now a $5 glass is required (it was free in the past), but it is still a fun time and good value. The on-tap beer selection is very good and diverse, featuring a lot of different styles and even mulitple brand labels. The brewery and employees have a friendly, laid-back nature and clearly enjoy their work. Overall the value is always good at the brewery, and it is a fun place to visit.
