62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 Snojerk321 (54) San Diego, California | June 5, 2009 Not sure why this is even in the system, oh well. Have pretty much the same selection of brews as any Ralphs or Vons on the mainland, with the exception of the Hawaiian locals. A lot of nice employees, very helpful. A pretty good one stop shop, though not really a "beer store". | 54 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 10/20 hopdog (222) Lansdale, Pennsylvania | November 4, 2007 Hey, its Maui. Not many beers for me and most in 6 packs and above. Walked out with 1 bomber of Keoki beer I haven’t had before. Not a bad place to stock up and drink though... | 62 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 ElGaucho (207) Minnetonka, Minnesota | February 21, 2007 Finding a good selection of beer in Hawaii is a challenge. The beer selection at Foodland in Lahaina is a pleasant surprise. On the mainland, the selection here would be just above average, but it may be the best selection on Maui. A few of the selections you might find are Chimay Red, the Unibroue line and Orval. Also available are bombers of new local brews, Keoki Sunset and Keoki Gold. If you are looking to get single bottles of six-pack brews, check out Safeway where they price their six packs out at both the six pack price and single bottle price. There is plenty of free parking in the Foodland lot, which actually is accessible from Wainee St., not Front St. The parking situation closer to Front St. is abysmal, so if you want to visit the shops, bars and restaurants on Front St., and are feeling brave, park in the Foodland lot, buy something at Foodland and then walk to Front St. |
