I have been wanting to check this place out for a few months now. Convinced foofaa to take me here on black friday, altho it didnít take much conniving on my part.
An interesting, albeit small, space. We arrived shortly after they opened and started in the bar area and it quickly became packed with people. We ordered a beer to pass the time as we waited for our table to become available. It didnít take very long and we were seated in the slightly larger dining room. Our servers were awesome. They helped us pick a few cheeses and we talked about where we had been that day and where we were from, they were very nice.
The quality of the food and beer was top notch. The selection of beer was pretty good. I was really looking forward to trying their blended BA saison but it was all gone, however they put a new limited belgian stout on and I got that instead. I enjoyed most of my beers but only one was really memorable, the dubbel which was very good. The real star of the show is the food. I would say that this place has some of the best food at any brewpub I have been to. The cheese plate we got was a little on the small side for what we paid for it but it was really good. I decided to go with their burger, at $15 it was the most expensive thing on the menu! I am not sure if it was worth that much but it tasted amazing so I guess it was.
Overall a VERY nice brewpub that I will definitely return to in the future. The sooner the better IMO.

I heard of this place yesterday, and I went to it yesterday. I am certainly glad that I did. The place is located in an old house. The bar is a small space with a few stools and a dining room has maybe seven tables in a small rustic room. Standard hipsteresque, rustic implements adorn the walls. It was a Sunday, so they were serving the Sunday dinner paired with a one-off barley wine (Telemachus). My girlfriend and I, anticipating a long drive, decided not to get a massive Sunday dinner and instead opted for lighter beers and a lighter dinner. The food was pretty expensive, but it was certainly tasty. However, the relatively inexpensive beer made up for the price. A glass of beer was between $4.50 and $7.00. Fortunately, the beer was excellent. I had all the English-style beers, and each was excellent. The waitress was attentive and very friendly. She also was able to talk freely about the beer and the brewery. The place was relatively quiet when I was there, but it wasnít dead. The music that was playing was to my liking. Everything was in place. With eight beers on tap, I think that the selection is pretty good, since most people have never had a single one. This is especially true because they come in a number of diverse styles.

Finally made it up here. A nice small spot with a tiny bar and a good number of seats. Very traditional looking design with the old victorian design. The service was great here. Everyone wanted to talk to us and get us drinks and food. There are 8 taps - 5 draft and 3 cask. They had one bottle available but it was sold out. The food was very good. The cheeseplate ws nice, plenty of bread, good fries, and fun popcorn. Priced fairly and affordably. I was only slightly let down by the beer. I think this brewery is good but not the hype that you hear.

Cool stop. Awesome that the brew pub is in an old victorian type house. There was 6-7 beers on tap, which were all very good. Had the bacon popcorn which was also a nice snack. Also had a bottled dark saison available to purchase in bottles. Iíd definitely make another stop there in the future.

Enjoyed a few pints here with Dallas awhile back. very interesting vibe - feels like youíve entered someoneís home and are drinking pints in their piano room. Handful of taps featuring english style ales and interesting saisons. Really looking forward to the next visit - and eventually actually sitting down and having a meal at this place.

Ambiance - great area, really nice place inside. Feels like your at someoneís home.
Service - bartender is super versed, perhaps one of the brewers ??
Selection - I guess you can get bottles, but when I went it was only growler fills. There are 8 taps, and the beer is very good.
Food - adequately reflects the craftsmanship of the beer, very good.
Value - you get what you pay for. Itís pricy, but not overpriced.

Ambiance: It is definitely unique with a brewery built into an old home...like circa 1850 old home. The bar area is built into a small room which could have served as a small dining room previously. The floor boards actually fascinated me as they were old plank boards which you could almost see right through into the basement.
Service: The bartender was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about their beers and beer in general.
Selection: They had 8 in house beers on tap, with a nice array of pale, IPA, a couple of saisons, porter, etc
Food: Buffalo Meat burger was outstanding...well prepared and served with home made chips which were solid too.
Value: Not the cheapest place to visit...3 beers and a burger ran me 35 bucks
Overall, cool place if you are into history, solid enough beers, great food....great overall.

I think I have possibly found my little corner of American Nouveau brewing. Letís just say these guys are doing things right. I think the food menus are a little pricey, but any place that has Kunik on the cheese menu wins my heart. Most importantly, the condition of the beers! Fresh, fresh, fresh casks of stunningly produced low gravity beers. The Saisons were not to my taste, but the English-style Ales on cask were near perfection. The other aspect of my visit that really took it home for me was the friendly, cozy bar banter. Itís small enough that itís hard not to connect with your fellow bar patrons. I had nice conversations about growing hops, Heady Topper, and cellaring beer. Every small town in America needs one of these on the corner, mostly so that I donít go thirst or have to drink filtered, extreme American hop bombs.

I took an immediate liking to this place. Located in an old house that retains many of its architectural features, F&M has a comfortable, classic, bed and breakfast vibe (without the high prices). The tap selection is not superior (and the only serve their own stuff), but the brews are. The food is tasty and high quality - fish and chips were fresh and tasty, although there were only a few small pieces of cod. There is a tap room and a dining room on the first floor, and two small dining areas on the second floor. The staff is friendly and helpful, and so were the other customers, a sure sign that people are having a good time. If I lived near Ambler I would be coming here all the time.

A house off the main strip in Ambler. Very quaint. It feels exactly like what it is, an old house. Beers in Belgian and English style. Iíd like to get back an sample more of the English offerings but the Belgians I had were tasty. Good food. Will definitely return.
