Big open space with visable brewing equipment. Nice long bar, several TVs, including bar trivia, which is a plus for me. I had the sampler but they only had five of their beers tapped, Bar food, reasonable prices, and tastey beer. And it’s a quick on/off from I75. I would hang out here if I lived closer.

Great prices on some pretty good food and one of the best IPA’s around!! Brewmaster knows his stuff. Clean and well maintained. Family frendly.

A nice place in the downriver area. Has a bit of a sports bar feel to it with hit or miss beer. A decent number of taps that seem to rotate pretty quickly. Food is solid and prices are quite low. Service is fine but nothing special.

Really love the food here but sometimes the beer is just ok. I’ve had some greats beers here like the Rye PA and the Black IPA but I’ve also had some that I hate. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you live nearby.

Somehow I have forgotten to rate this place, but better late than never... This place looks like a sports bar first and foremost. It is a bar, since they also serve liquor. What makes it different is the fact that it serves their own beers and good ones at that. Their brewer pushes the envelope with new styles and dives into a lot of things I would have never even thought of. They also open a cask every Thursday night. Very cool place overall. The growler thing is not really an issue, just buy one of theirs sheesh.

been in this place a few times and not really a bad time. just seems limited on beers when i am there. daughter and i had a sandwich and i had a couple beers. not very busy but only a bartender and a server...made for a slow go. the beers were decent even though there was a miscommunication on it..not a problem. biggest issue and i address when i go in there..if you want a growler you have to use theirs no ifs ands or buts claims its a state law...with over 70 microbreweries in the state and this is the only one that "demands" you use their growler..something wrong there.

Fort Street Brewing is a decent place to kill some time. Food has improved greatly over the years. Doug is a great brewer. The only complaint is the limited selection at times. Especially summertime. But this doesn not stop us from going there.

Rather large sports bar type place with a few in house beers on draft. The beer is very good. At the time (hopefully this has changed) you could only get a growler fill with their growlers because they claim it is illegal to fill another breweries growler. While this may or may not be true, every other brewery in MI has stickers they slap on the growler when they fill it, thus solving the problem. The food was solidly above average, but nothing earth shattering. An easy stop on the way into the Detroit area.

Well, being a native of Downriver, this place is a breath of fresh air. A place that outrightly mocks pilsner drinkers on its menu? Sign me up! This place is nice, never being too loud due to its high ceilings and space out interior. The crowds are pretty diverse, with younger to older (including 80-somethings) all in the joint at the same time. Service is forgettable, but what can you do. The beer and food is what makes this place a return-to-place. Wide menu, pub food done well (decent variety without being Applebees shit... I’m looking at you, Downriver-folk!). Beer is somewhat limited and seasonal, but much better than many area (and reputable) microbreweries. The value? Unbeatable.
