Real nice. Parking sucks if you get there on a busy day. Service is good. Good selection of beers on tap. Nice open atmosphere...Kind of train-station-like.
Revisited on 6/13/09 with more time on my hands. Like it quite a bit. Lots of staff to help..which is a plus. Fairly knowledgeable as well.

Made the trip to Founders back in October. What can you say. An awesome wide open taproom, with a cool view of the beer making goodies and all. Lots of wood and glass. The beer is first class,I love almost all of Founders brews, had 6 or 7 samples a couple of pints and a growler to go. The food was very good, deli style.Service was spotty, could have been better, but Iíll let it go and try again next time.Prices seemed pretty reasonable. I love Founders beer and would love to work there, not even for money, just beer.

Large building in an old warehouse. Much better than their old facility, which was in kind of a pretentious apartment/condo building. Open atmosphere, but the wood throughout the building makes it warm enough. Inviting for the hippie freaks, which most good brewpubs are. Nearly all their regular beers are on tap, plus a couple extras. Wish they had some more bottles for purchase. It appears people traveling from afar are dissappointed their is no reward for their travel. Personally I like the fact I do not have to live near them to get their brews, unlike ALL the other breweries that compete with Founders top offerings.(Three Floydds, etc.) Bells is about the only other good brewery you can also widely get their offerings without having to wait in a line wrapped around their dumpy little building and parking lot. So in the end, if you are looking for some place that you are special to have found, this is not it. If you want a place to get some fine craft beers, listen to some music, this pla

The designers created a great building but not the best architecture for a brew pub. However, they have a solid selection of their fabulous beers so the atmosphere canít be that bad. Friendly service and more than willing to provide samples. Typical type bar food could be a lot better.

I frankly donít understand the praise this place received. Perhaps I was not the luckiest, but the 2-3 beers that were on and not widely distributed in bottles were not particularly interesting. While many of their regulars are indeed interesting, the ugliness of the area, spacious, noisy like a big modern cafeteria atmosphere and certainly not aimed at having a lot of character. The prices are very good though, but Iíd rather drink Founders in a beer bar I enjoy being in. Neglectable service as you need to go to the counter and they donít seem to really be interested in a conversation with you when you do.

A great, roomy brew pub that offers a simple space for gathering with friends, listening to good new music and enjoying some world class beer.

Enormous bar as soon as you walk in. Very open with generally plain seating. No fancy decor or table arrangements...just a place to drink beer. Had an older crowd when I went on a Friday evening and it was much quieter than the Hopcat that Iíd just come from. For such a big place though, I expected to see more variety - but I guess thereís an argument for doing a few things really well as opposed to doing several things average. The porter I wanted to try was fresh out so I opted for the bourbon porter. Served in a brandy snifter, this drink had some kick. It was syrupy and the smell of the bourbon was ever present. Iím not a fan of high alcohol beers so getting a half pint down was a bit of a challenge. Tasted something like Kahlua and cough syrup but in a good way. Iím sure there are others out there that would love it I just found it a little heavy for my buds. My buddy had the red ale and spoke very highly of it - easily the best beer he had out of six other places on our brewery tour of the area.

Gorgeous looking bar and large space for noshing on their deliís sandwiches. Every time I go back, this place gets better. They never have many bottles, but thereís always something great on tap.

Big pub with plenty of room. The large bar itself is spacy and very inviting. I really liked the atmosphere there, kind of hard to put into words, right from the moment I walked in this pub I had a different feeling that just about all other pubs Iíve ever visited. Crowd is rather young (mostly early twenties) but not the drunken college kind. Cool eclectic crowd. The place is probably doing well because on a Sunday night it was almost packed. So I would suggest to avoid the Friday/Saturday night cause that must be annoyingly packed. Food menu is reasonably priced interesting sandwiches. Probably not the right place if youíre looking for a full cooked meal. Only 10 taps when I was there with 7 of them being their regular bottled beers. Iíll never complain about drinking a Redís Rye or a Centennial on tap although these are also available in other pubs.

Huge commercial wherehouse feel. 16oz beers were $2 when I was in on Monday evening! The taplist was a bit thin on my visit. I believe they had 7 beers on tap. The service was quick for the size of the crowd. The food was really good. A worthwhile stop.
