The best brewery in the state. Beers you cannot get anywhere else. Sandwiches are the best. I am there every time I am in GR.

Made the trip to Founders back in October. What can you say. An awesome wide open taproom, with a cool view of the beer making goodies and all. Lots of wood and glass. The beer is first class,I love almost all of Founders brews, had 6 or 7 samples a couple of pints and a growler to go. The food was very good, deli style.Service was spotty, could have been better, but I’ll let it go and try again next time.Prices seemed pretty reasonable. I love Founders beer and would love to work there, not even for money, just beer.

Nice plave to have a beer. Stopped in on a monday afternoon. Beer selection on a chalkboard with no descriptions. If you don’t know what’s what, it is a bit hard to order. The servers are busy and can’t really explain anything (or don’t want to) Great beer, mediocre service. Didn’t eat, but the horseradish cheese dip for pretzels was tasty.

What can you say, they are a world class brewery with amazing beer, food, and service. The live music they provide is always a good time. Only issue that anyone might have is availability of their beers.

Live in the area, and have been going to Founders for years. Very chill ambiance, open area with lots of seating and tables. Service is good, always very helpful and knowledgeable, food is solid, and the beer is excellent. Always a large selection, tap list changes frequently (but is available online), and the prices are reasonable. Place can be very busy at sometimes, but it is well worth the trip.

Great place to come and hang out and get great value on great beers. In warm weather the patio is great to be on and there is smoking outside for those that do. Tends to get a little loud in the afternoon and after work gets out. Plenty of live music if that’s your thing. If you come to Grand Rapids and don’t visit Founders you’ve missed out. Prost! This place has an awsome feel to it. Old warehouse with peanut shells on the floor, and large windows overlooking the brewing and packaging rooms. They do live music two nights a week and the times I was there the bands were very good. The cool part about it is that I’ve seen 4 or 5 different styles of music there. Jazz, Bluegrass, Indie Rock, Jam Bands, Blues, etc. The service was very friendly and efficient, and also very knowledgable about their offerings, although I am one who prefers to go to the bar for my beers anyways. It was a little smokey there, but I was told that they are building a new place and that it will be smoke free. Which is good. The food was outstanding! They serve deli sandwiches, but it isn’t your average sandwich. It was very fresh and very big. The ol’ lady had soup and also enjoyed it. The only drawback was the lack of IPA, the beer I went there to try, and that the bathrooms were too small. Overall, I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a good sandwich to go with their quality beer, and to see live music.

Nice place with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Garage doors separating outdoor picnic seating area for smokers and outdoorsy types from the large indoor seating area. Cheap snacks, appetizers, and sandwiches available. I didn’t try the food, so it could be great! Nice selection of beers that are not obtainable outside this venue. 10 or 11 taps available if I remember correctly. The renowned KBS available on tap as well as some other specialty ales: CBS and BBA Imperial Stout with others. Large glass window separates the brew cafe from the brew equipment with a sort of stage area and curtains to cover for live music which appears regularly from the posters up on the walls. A single pool table, clean bathrooms. Weekday specials available. I like it here. Would visit again.

Visited for lunch and love the pub. Great look, atmosphere, and lots of room. The food was good and the beers were good, but I just wish they had more specialties. I also was not sure about the service. We never had just one server, so at one moment, we were asked by 3 people if were were ok, then would not see anyone for 15 or 20 minutes. Oh, well. The beers, food, and ambiance were well worth it.

Every beer is amazing. Short selection, but everyone is worth trying or taking home. The food selection may seem weak, but all of the sandwiches I’ve had are amazing. Founder’s is a great place to be on a Monday night for the $2.25 pints.
