Overview: Four Pegs, along with Eiderdown, is a part of the new Germantown craft beer establishment, which really owes itís existence to The Nachbar. FPBL is a bit more blatantly hipster than Eiderdown, with old bar intact and most of the lighting provided by lamps. Burlap covers many windowed surfaces, giving the place the feel of a speakeasy. There is a patio as well, past the kitchen, that is lit with string lighting. All orders are placed at the bar, and all menus are on chalkboards on the wall in the front room (beer and food). Staff included bartender who was friendly but not pushy; she seemed to know her stuff when talking to customers about products. The beer available was pretty standard for a big city craft beer bar; nothing too jaw-dropping or unexpected. Food was pretty tasty; had the KY poutine appetizer ($6) that really seemed like the perfect beer food. Beer and food were priced well, even a little on the low end. PROS: Knowledgeable staff, good bar food, well priced. CONS: The place feels a little "put on" in terms of ambiance, selection could be more diverse. OVERALL: A fine place to visit and have a meal/drink when in town, but one would not be at a loss for skipping it (especially if youíre in Louisville only once). Certainly more than sufficient for most of the local craft beer crowd. Plenty of street parking in the area; free parking in the "Yesternook" parking lot after hours, which is two doors down.

Pretty nice place in the middle of Germantown neighborhood. Beer list was solid if not exciting for the average nerd. Waffle and chicken sandwich was outright decadent. You have to order everything at the bar.

Visited for dinner on a Wednesday. Cool looking corner tavern with a long bar, tables, a back room and a patio. Lively crowd. Service was prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. 12 beers on draft, all well chosen. Two Country Boy beers on + Bells, Founders, Stone, Stillwater, etc. Also had a solid bottle and can menu. I had the pretzel appetizer and the chicken quesadilla which both were solid. Fun place, hitting Four Pegs, Eiderdown and The Nachbar in the immediate area is highly recommended.

Very mellow but friendly crowd on a Sunday night. Keith the bartender was terrific. Draft list was very solid, and the small bottle list wad creative. Great place.

$9.50 for a Triple Karmeliet and a little too jesus-centric for this pagan.
Otherwise seems to be coolish... seems to be riding the coat tails of nachbar and eiderdown.
