a very average place-average beer, average service, average tourist clients which is a recipe for boring. however, their back beer garden is kind of cool. Beer is all average at best yet they still win awards? I dont get it. If your in town, stop by however, dont go out of your way-its not worth it.

Iíve been here a few times. They have 5 beers on tap (4 regulars and a seasonal). The beers are alright. The food is pretty good. I like the Biergarten area. Itís a nice place to sit and drink while the ladies (or men who enjoy such things) peruse the shops outside. They serve the beer mostly in plastic cups, which is sorta odd, but itís still beer.

This place featured some of the worst service I have encountered. Inexcusably, they served my wife and I in plastic cups and told us we had to sit in the biergarten because the bar was full and we couldnít have a table unless we ordered food. The service was also very slow. The price on this weak beer is inflated too.

Stopped by here over Memorial Day weekend. Fairly large brewpub on Main Street, right near the main shopping district as well as the two World War II museums. Sat out back in the biergarten and got the sampler tray of beers, which were decent. Didnít have the food, but my brother did and he said the burger was very good. Not a place to seek out, but a decent Hill Country brewpub that is within 45 minutes of Pecan Street and Double Horn, making for an easy mini-brewpub tour.

Visited mid-afternoon for beers and food during a quick one day visit of the Texas Wine Country. The wait was over an hour, so we had a beer in back, then ate at the bar when two spots opened up. The location of the Brewery is nice, right in the center of a very active town. I can imagine this is a good spot to hang out as the rest of the party shops and wanders around town. The front part of the restaurant had a lot of character, large bar on one side, a bunch of tables on the other. The unique part of the place is the rear indoor Biergarten. Its massive back there, with a dozen large picnic tables, a bar, and several large TVs showing sports. They had 5 beers (I believe) on when I visited - standard + an IPA. The beers were decent enough. Both my wife and I ate - I had the pizza and she ordered the Schnitzel. Service was good, attentive and quick with the orders. Both were solid. If you are in the area, this place is certainly worth the stop.
64 = ★★ (Just ok)
I only use the total score, not the component parts.

Finally made the time to visit this joint, with the old lady in tow. Strip mall/German/industrial feel of the joint, itíll work. Server was fast enough, and was good enough, enough about that. Brews- 5 standard with a rotating one- decent enough, but we both agreed that the food was better than beer. Food- awesome portion size for the price, but we hadnít ate all day so we werenít overly picky at that point. Weíll be back- get a beer in Dripping Springs, eat at the place down the block, get another beer here. Thatíll work.

Pretty cool place to stop and have a beer. Neat old building with the brew kettles right there at the bar. They have 6 or 7 beers that are brewed on site, but the selection rarely changes and usually includes a pale ale, IPA, pils, helles, wheat, a porter and some type of red ale. Overall, the beers are fair with a couple of them standing out among the rest (they are award winners at GABF). Iíd suggest getting the sampler so you can try them all before making your choice. You can get a growler to go and its open consumption on the streets. Unless you are starving to death and there are no other restaurants open do not eat here. The food is below average. Of course, if youíve had a few too many beers you may think the food is wonderful! There is a bed-n-breakfast upstairs if you choose to drink yourself silly and just want to stumple into bed.

Always crowded, but always good beer and good times. Food is adquate, but the beer and good times is what you go there for.
