Despite the myraid tchotchkes adorning the walls, this backstreet boozer has a fairly spartan feel to it; it could be the concrete floors and the hospital-inspired lighting scheme. It’s a Greene King pub, so in terms of beer quality you know what you’re getting yourself into. Although, I should add that I found some rather exotic GK beers in here during my visit, which gave me a real thrill. The value is pretty poor considering these are crappy low ABV offerings. The pub has boardgames to keep its occupants happy. Probably worth a quick stop if you’re passing by.

A Greene King place. Nothing wrong if you like Greene King beers. IPA 3,8% was the only one I had (2010).
